Since this is a movie about first love this might be the end of hinata's first love if the song is truly a sad love song.

Yeah "to my heart in the distance, to the body that's here". Yeah it does seem truly sad. But I think if this happens and Hinata moves on, she will grow as a character.

To me, given the lyrics and all, it finally feels like Hinata lets her love go and is happy for Naruto and Sakura, kind of like that, despite her heart aching or whatever was written there.

I searched for the lyrics and EVERY translation is different, lmao. I don't know what to believe anymore.

I know how that feels. Honestly, the whole idea of The Last is kinda bothersome with how crappy the ending is, and all this is gonna do is make it crappier and be an even worse form of character assassination than what Kishimoto-sensei had done in Chapters 699 and 700.
