Have you started yet?

Much like One Piece, the lines between good and bad are blurred (unlike Naruto). There's good ghouls and bad ghouls, and good humans and bad humans alike. Not all ghouls are vicious beasts lol

There is no good and bad in TG. We have antagonists from both the ghouls and humans.

Those "beasts" are human-eating creatures :zaru:

What did you like in those sport mangas?

I think you need to read the manga to understand the concept of the manga that we are trying to convey to you. Naturally, creatures that are feeding on humans sound like ravenous and carnivorous monsters to every normal person who has not read the manga; however, there are many ghouls who are trying to integrate themselves among the humans. They didn't choose to be ghouls, but that is what they were born like, and they are trying to make the best out of it.

I don't really think the comparison b/w TG and OP is a fitting comparison in my opinion :/ We all know that the crew is far from being the bad guys.

We wouldn't be into TG if the ghoul side were not so interesting; it is more fascinating than the human side sometimes.

I guess it's because they have a team working with each other and overcoming obstacles together

I wasn't really comparing pirates to ghouls, just the blurred lines between what's right and what's wrong. OP deals with that theme more subtly than TG, but the concept is the same. In OP there are a lot of good pirates and bad pirates alike, but there's also good marines and bad marines. The same is with Tokyo Ghoul in regards to Ghouls and humans. The world view in both mangas in regards to good and bad is the same, they both express that the difference between right and wrong is a mass of gray; the line is very blurred.

It's interesting though, OP subtly addresses many social problems, you just have to look for them.

You overthinking in terms of "good" pirates, there is not many of those in OP. Like REALLY low number.

Actually I get what you mean MC is part of that grey area, but that's always was established - marines are good, pirates are bad. People are good (they not eating each other) and ghouls... well they trying to survive?

Just give it a chance to the manga, it should explain the two sides of the coin very nicely to you.

Btw NS4L, I found an iPhone app to read manga on, you can read off Mangapanda through it without the annoying ass pop ups. I might start reading from there lol
