Seriously, Why Naruto did answer him for her?

Well if he hadn't we probably wouldn't have gotten the Kushina Sakura parallel confirmation by Minato. Also it keeps us in suspense about Sakura's true feelings.

Have to say, this naruto chapter, finally watching road to ninja, the sonic and megaman comic crossover, the new canon dbz movie, the hilarious crossover of luffy, goku, and toriko and the game it advertises, mewtwo, chairzard, and butterfree all coming back in the pokemon anime, the giant electro bomb of doom from pikachu, the new pokemon games coming out worldwide and the trailer for it being like pikachu destroyed the world with a thunderbolt, the amazing 3d pokemon mystery dungeon, a teamup of all power rangers in history and a power ranger with the powers of all special rangers in history, and probably countless more crossovers in series coming soon....this is becoming the best year ever!!!!!! full of crazy amazing stuff!!!! anyone agree?

That's possible. I do think overworking could be another one, much like Sakura to Naruto with fighting Pain. I can see Kushina being mad at Minato overworking with old Team 7, like doing all the work and let others to relax before Kakashi became a Jounin. One thing for sure is that his relationship with Kushina must be pretty exciting. Funny, I reread the part where Kushina talks about finding a woman like her, she was like, "Someday, you will get a girlfriend." I guess Minato was really finding answers to her last wishes and he has. Now I know why that part was left out from Naruto, for this scene to work.

That makes so much sense why he'd ask that now! It wasn't entirely out of the blue. He's confirming Kushina's dying wish. "So are you his girlfriend?" (the one who'll fulfill my wife's dying wish?) Then later "Yup, she's certainly like Kushina....I'm happy for you son"

well i don't think he is but watch this, this is coming basically, the part at the end with all the rangers is what happened in the japanese version and the newest show it's gonna happen because the new red ranger keeps having dreams about it. they even showed the teamup in a morphicon i looked up.but basically that and everything else to come, looks like best year ever, so many amazing things

Naruto wiki is useful for researching information pertaining to techniques, the geography of the Narutoverse, or its lore/history but when your search is focused on relationships, particularly of the romantic nature that pertains to Naruto/Hinata/Sakura, it becomes a cesspool of misguided interpretations and favouritism towards Hinata.

Just re-read the chapter and i'm going to be picky.

1) Top left panel the exclamation marks are from sasuke only???



2) Sakura's panels to when sasuke arrives and the consistent sasuke-kun's. Also knowing Ino still loves sasuke, ino reacts pretty much the same as sakura:

3) Sakura asking sasuke why he's here..... hmmmmm sounds like a very very very subtle and sneaky romance related comment, like: are you here for me? kind of thing. her facial expression kind of adds to this

This isn't a negative post whatsoever, green zone as grass here just bringing up some discussion talk

I'll take a crack at this.

I really wouldn't look that deeply into the exclamation marks from Sasuke. It could be that he's surprised that's she's taking such an active role. Lets not forget, he hasn't seen her fight in quite a bit and considering she wasn't the most active on the team back then, maybe he's surprised to see her actually on the frontlines with her comrades.

2. It's a reaction shot. She's shocked to see him there at that very moment. Her expression is quite understandable considering, as someone stated before, he was hellbent on destroying Konoha, so of course, she wants to know why he's there.

3. Number 2 leads to three. I don't think it's a subtle hint of her asking if he's there for her. She's not a little girl anymore so of course, why would she feel that his appearance is based solely around her? I'm actually getting a different response to her facial expression when it comes to the bolded. I mean, this is the guy who is pretty much an enemy of Konoha.

All and all, I don't really see how this is a positive toward SS. I mean, she's okay with him being there, yes, but so is Naruto, and given where they stood when it came to Sasuke, it's all quite understandable. While I did want her to sort of lash out at him initially, this response is fine as well. She's not grudging over it, and she's putting it behind her.


Also, I love how when she lands, she addresses Naruto. Like someone else said, it's like she's seeking acknowledgment from him, and given how much she's always tried to do for him, I can understand why. She wants to be of use to this guy, and so I feel this is her chance to show yet again that's she's useful on and off the field. It seems a lot of people want to see her fail, or believe she's going to be a hindrance, but I definitely believe she'll hold her own, and surprise not only us, but even the haters, and those in story. I'd love to see Naruto praising her skills. Here's to hoping!

I have a question. Despite it being obvious that NaruSaku is headed towards canon status there's still the fact that it still needs to resolve the lingering issue of Sakura's feelings for Sasuke until it becomes truly official.

Right now is not a matter of whether NS happens, but rather how on earth will Kishi pull it off with so many issues still in the open. It's the equivalent to speculate how will Sasuke eventually embrace his previous bonds, we know he will by the end but we don't know exactly how it will go down.

So what do you guys think it's Sakura's status when it comes to Naruto? She had Sasuke in mind at 540, but now in 631 she didn't object to Naruto telling his dad she was his girlfriend. How do these two points connect? Could it be that she accepts she still loves Sasuke but is aiming to get over it little by little? Maybe she's accepting that despite everything she's indeed fall in love with Naruto little by little and that she wants to keep falling in love with him even more?

She doesn't deny the girlfriend comment because she know that that's what she'll eventually become? Could it be she's aware that her feelings will eventually lead her to loving Naruto the most even if she still has to sort them out at the present? Could it be she knows the future of her feelings?

LOL That's a good question. I think she's almost there when it comes to her feelings for Naruto. She just needs to resolve her lingering feelings for Sasuke. I actually don't think she views him as a person she wants to be in a relationship with anymore to be honest. There are likely just lingering feelings there. When it comes to Naruto, it could be that she may feel a little undeserving, but eventually, she may own up to her love for him. I see this happening in some inner monologue before she actually reveals it to Naruto.

I think she doesn't deny the comment because it's possible she likes the idea. LOL Her response says it all. And what's funny is, Naruto's response during her confession said it all. Of course, those people who only hammered Naruto's, "I hate people who lie to themselves" in their head didn't see this. He didn't deny his love for her then. She didn't deny the response Naruto gave just now. Comical or not, it's not something that should be glazed over. Not in the slightest. In fact, this moment should actually make those who oppose this couple really take them into consideration. Unlike 615 where there was absolutely no hint of Naruto actually gaining feelings for Hinata, here Naruto reaffirms who he loves once again, AFTER the stuff Hinata did. I mean, it's like, do you really want to keep on beating a dead horse. The only way I'll see NH EVER standing a chance at this point is Sakura being killed somehow and even then, there's no guarantee that it'll happen. Big boobs, sacrifices, confessions. Naruto still isn't falling for this girl.

Takeaways from this chapter:

Kishi will not make any pairing canon until the very end or the epilogue to keep all pairing fandoms interested (smart from a business perspective, a pain for fans).

Kishi will probably follow through with his 10+ year 630+ character development of Sakura.

Sakura may be fighting to watch Naruto's back with Sasuke around as much as winning the war.

Sasuke may want to be a different kind of Hokage (like disbanding the villiage type). This may lead to a final showdown.

The only person that has not acknowledged Naruto as Hokage worthy is Sasuke. This may be what the battle turns into. This is foreshadowed in Naruto's thoughts.

Oorochimaru probably still has something devious up his sleeve.

Sakura fiiiiiiiiinally gets to fight.

Predictions:

Next week Kakashi vs Obito

This fight could come to a Goku and Vegita vs Buu type moment. Sasuke acknowledges Naruto's strength.

Darkest before the dawn type scenario. Naruto goes down. Tells Sakura he would still like to kiss her forehead (bench scene resolved SS = 100% dead). Sasuke realizes he can actually use emotions other than crazy vengance and trys to take Madara and the 10 tails down. Sasuke is about to go down, Naruto is revived as the new 6 paths, saves the day, Hinata actually progresses as a character and lets Naruto go, NaruSaku becomes canon, Naruto gets Sasuke's acknowledgement, becomes Hokage... happily ever after.

Sakura is in the middle of what we call an emotional triangle. She cares for Naruto right now, probably more than she ever has. She knows he loves her. She didn't confirm or dent the girlfriend comment because it would have given too much information one way or another honestly. Not only does Kishi not want that but I don't think Sakura, as a character, wants people all up in her emotional business either.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. Sakura needs to deal with her Sasuke baggage and this is the precise reason SasuSaku isn't dead. I mean it's on the chopping block, but it's not like NaruHina which is in Titanic status at the moment. Honestly, NaruSaku cannot progress any further until Sakura deals with her Sasuke business.

It really is her time to shine in all respects. Combat-wise and Development-wise it's all coming down to how she handles things in the next chapters.
