@Pink: I understand the frustration. It comes down to people feeling like whatever they've chosen to like is the "right choice", and that anyone liking someone in opposition/conflict (as in shipping Naruto with one girl while someone else ships him with another) is automatically wrong or even stupid for doing so--which is some of the saddest bullsh** I've ever seen. You wanna ship Naruto with Sakura? Fine. Ship him with Hinata? Kudos. You wanna discuss those preferences with each other and maybe even debate which one could be on its way to being canon? Brilliant! Just remember that so far there is no right or wrong, and that no matter what anyone ships you have to respect them and their choice of pairings.

Exactly! It's like, you don't know anything until it's over. You can't come about assuming your word is law and everyone else is inferior. I just hate that so much, especially when I get put down for my opinion. Hell, I was told that because I ship SS, I must love being abused/I have abusive boyfriend/husband. What kind of crap is that? I guess my shipping preferences dictate the kind of life I lead.

^ And this is why I just kinda stopped all together with the shipping wars. I got tired of all the bashing from both sides. As much as there are negative ppl on both sides there are good positive ppl that listen and see both sides. They talk like mature adults and have fair debates. However in my experience the bad out way the good. [b]The last time I tried to defend who I shipped I was called some very bad things and the NH fan even took a swipe at my kids (this happened on Facebook) After that I was done. I'll continue to ship NS but I'm done with giving my reasons why.

A friend of mine got this same treatment from a NS fan who apparently thinks she has "brain dead kids just like their mother." I was so shocked and angry I wanted to flame them to hell. Comments like that are so uncalled for, and I'm sorry you were treated with such indignity. People like that need to fall off a cliff honestly.

The hell kind of logic is that? Does shipping two male characters together mean I myself must be a homosexual male? No. Does shipping an unhealthy relationship mean I enjoy them myself? No, and shipping a healthy relationship doesn't mean you'll always be in them yourself either. You ship things because they're in some way enjoyable to watch, to play around with. They give you squishy feelings or stimulate you somehow--they don't necessarily reflect your real life choices =/

I ship Mabel and Dipper from Gravity Falls. They're twins. I told another fan at my school, and her first reaction was, "Uhhh, do you think of your own brother that way?" I have no idea why some one would immediately come to a conclusion like that. I also ship Marceline and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, so I must also be a lesbian?...For my brother?...

lmao Exactly! I ship all sorts of couples--old/young, teacher/student, m/m, f/f, etc etc--and they all vary in personalities and level of healthiness, as well as sexual-ness. Only one or two really depict my RL preferences or behavior e_____e

I think some ppl are thrown off with same sex ships when they themselves don't even like the show/ series to begin with. It's not that case all the time, I mean there are some ppl that are into the series like lets say Adventure time but they give Marcy and Bonnie shippers a hard time :/ I don't ship them like hardcore or anything but I see no problem with it.
