The preview asked, "What is the goal that Sarada learned from graduation?!" The movie trailer has her saying, "No way, Boruto. I will be the next Hokage." Yes, that's why Boruto and Sarada are rivals. Sad, no more running away and innuendo love.
Sarada has a much greater chance than Burrito does, simply because she's Sasuke's daughter. I think when Kishi wrote the nonsense about Sasuke wanting to be Hokage near the end of the war arc, he really wanted to run with it and make his beloved Uchiha the Hokage. Maybe that's why he's made Naruto so loathsome in Gaiden, because he's pouting that he had to stick with his original plan. Again, why is this stupid manga named Naruto?
That's the official Japanese release date.
The not so legal version that we get is always earlier than the official Japanese release.
Oh and watch how nothing gets resolved or answered.
Gaiden will basically be an 10 chapter commercial for the Burrito movie. Buy a ticket and find out all the answers!
The truth behind Sarada's birth? The truth is I don't care who the momma is.
And since when was Tsunade and Sakura's super strength genetic? BS. BS. BS.
Since Kishi needed it to be so Sakura could pass it on to Sarada and prove that she's her real mother.
This is such a good point. I was thinking about the comments I made earlier in this thread about how this manga used to be about cherishing friends and fighting against the odds. And it's true. For me, part of what drew me to Naruto was that he was an underdog. He fought against the odds to triumph over people who were more naturally gifted, had built in advantages, etc. etc. That was a big source of the tension and enjoyment. From the bit I've read in Gaiden, it's just not the same watching Naruto and Sasuke spam attacks using their reincarnated God powers. That's not the Naruto I grew to love.
Yes, part 1 Naruto and remember that guy named Rock Lee? The "genius of hard work"? I think he basically fell off the face of the earth because through the course of part 2 the moral of the story morphed from being about ignoring destiny and working hard to earn skill, power, friends and other people's trust to being about accepting destiny and inheriting infinite power. It doesn't matter that Lee can run 40,000 laps around Konoha on his hands when Sasuke can fart and vaporize him from 1000 miles away. Such is the power of the Uchiha.
This hokage thing again? Ugh
Nobody ever accused Kishi of being original or creative.
Sarada will probably end up being a better Hokage than Bolt would have
Yes, it's Kishi's chance to "make things right" and put a Uchiha in charge. Not for the sake of righting past wrongs, but so he can finally put his beloved Uchiha clan in the position it deserves: absolute power. All the other kage will abdicate their positions and all villages will acknowledge her as Supreme Kage of the Universe.
Meanwhile, Burrito will hang himself and the Uzumaki clan will die out and be forgotten, but for some reason the manga will still be named Naruto.
