What dattebayo/Dattebane/Shannaro mean is really all about context.

 It is a corruption of joudan ja nai yo (冗談じゃないよ) which is a colloquial term literally meaning "this is not a joke" and can be loosely interpreted as: "stop kidding around", "don't fool yourself", "stop messing around", "you got to be kidding me", "yeah, right"---So there are a lot of different meanings that could be applied to it, but the feeling is the same. 

She's starting to get pissed and you should high tail it out of there

Dattebayo is a bit different in the fact that he tags it onto a verb steam like uh..Wakka(ttebayo!) Meaning "I get it already". So its like if you were to go around saying " That kitten is jumping-nyerk." its just a sound that he adds to his sentences.

I know I sound like a broken record, but NS would've made a beautiful story.

They both wanted the samething. Sakura slowly thinks naruto is a loser to what should've been love. Naruto sacrificed everything for sakura to prove he loves her. Well until he made sasuke to important.

You had two people trying save some one and slowly they should come to love one another.

What a missed chance for money.

I want to thank all you NS fans on this site. I always hated sasuke and still do. I hate men who abuse women!! I always thought from part 1 it was SS. Then part 2 came and I could see NS. This site gave me hope. U.S. sites tend to hate sakura and that is why they like hinita.

Most Japanese are fine/content with the ending. The response is definitely not like in the west. There's of course some not happy, but you'll get that anywhere. In general they are not protesting the pairings.

And how do you know this ?  We have @megi who is from Japan and several other people who are following the situation  saying  that the majority are confused or thinks that it sucks  not just paring wise  so I rather take megi's word   the only people who thinks that the ending doesn't suck is NH/SS which is no different from here  while almost everyone else think it sucks . Of course no one is gonna "riot"  people are not that crazy  m one should expect that kind of a reaction but that they are not happy that is for sure .

I learned about Shannaro/Dattebayo like...years ago. Good to see it had some uses after all. Its a lot like Chihiri's "No da!" It doesn't really have a meaning in words, but in...context. His is usually "Ya know." 

I think a lot of people are just at a lose of what to do/to think. I mean, what is there we really can do? I keep ping-ponging back and forth on whether I should see the Last or not...but I don't think I can bare to. It might break my Kokoro even more to watch the What-The-kitteny going on.

Anyway, as a NS fan, I was pissed. As a Naruto fan, I was kittening pissed beyond belief and I'm the guy who remain neutral. People know me and see me being upset is a bad sign. If the ending was ok with wrong pairings, I would soften up, but still lose a point or two. Here, it's four-to-five point lost, still didn't decide which.

I can hardly read or write it, but damn me if I haven't studied the culture I think it really helps in understanding the cultural overtones within an anime/manga if you've educated ones-self. -sounds like an elitist snob- otherwise you come off sounding dumb when you complain about thinks like Tsundere-ism.

Yes I know  that is why I said that the feeling is confusing and negative the only ones who are somewhat happy is NH/SS and even some part of them hate this ending   overall the reactions are not good on both sides . As for the assistant  I really don't know from where this BS come from that NS is harassing  him  as far as I know people were only asking him questions  from Japan and here but no insults and "death treats"  I guess people would rather make stuff up to make us look bad then enjoying there kitten ending  , but here is the thing they know they can't they know the ending was pure BS  so they do this  its pathetic really  .

 

To be honest your reactions comes as something new to me  its really strange  hehehe , but its ok bc you have reason to be , We are all Naruto fans before paring fans and we were supposed to have a happy ending a conclusive one  from the hero POV instead we got pure and utter BS  that went against the manga's themes and message  everything got rectoned  in the end and we were back at P1 nothing has change so WTH have been reading all this time ?  A load of crap that's how it looks like sign.

And in the end that’s exactly what happened. He’s doing the same thing with his main pairing.

Usually, I find these feints to be very unsubtle ways of trying to add a twist to a story. That or the author just likes the troll their fans. Either way, people keep falling for them.

I’ve got to hand it to Kishi though. I wasn’t sure how it would happen, but he managed to make Hinata’s prediction in chapter 573 come true. But don’t forget, Sakura also had a prediction in that chapter. I notice in moments like in 573, mangas and anime usually give the person who is most important to the main character the last word. Sakura had the last word in 573. Meaning, now that Hinata has had her moment, Sakura’s moment is next and it will be more significant.

Hinata’s words on the last panel of 615 do worry me though. They could be taken as a hint that she is going to die. There are two reasons why I don’t want this to happen. First, I’ve always liked her character. I hope that someday she eventually does rise up to succeed her father. And second, if she dies, when NaruSaku happens then a bunch of NaruHina fans will simply claim that if Hinata hadn’t died then Naruto would have gotten together with her instead. And we will literally never hear the end of it.


And I’ll close this with what I have been saying the whole time, NaruSaku is inevitable. It is the most heavily and obviously hinted outcome in the manga. More so then anything else. Practically written in stone. It is simply too late for Kishi to pair Naruto with anyone else, without making it look like sloppy writing. And Kishi is is consistent with the outcomes of his foreshadowing. Don’t fall for the feint.

so...what's the point of the narrative feint if the story is already finished and they're doing an explanation movie as to how the main character ended up with the irrelevant side character that hardly even did anything?
