So true. What I noticed is that NaruSaku fans seem to expect more from Hinata. We always say how much we want her to be a good leader and focus on her Clan even if we criticize her. NaruHina fans are mostly Hinata fans yet all they talk about is her being in love with Naruto instead.

 

It saddens me how her so-called fans are satisfied with her being pairing fodder.

It's what they want. It's really annoying that we, their "rivals" want Hinata to actually have a purpose in this story, to stop with "Naruto-kun" all the time and actually do something good. While they just want Hinata to end up with Naruto. The difference between the NS fanbase and NH/H fanbase is huge.

Well, I don't have any problem with it. Maybe because I acknowledge Hinata love naruto, Eventough I think Hinata in denial about naruto love to sakura.

Anyway, you know, I would connect to James' post to my old point that it's going to be tough for many to try to read differently if we are so used to love, even though it's not really. However, it connects to Naruto, so it will be hard to convince you guys that it could be differently. Well, I'll wait for the manga first and foremost.

I quickly came to the conclusion a lot of the "Hinata" fans aren't actually Hinata fans. They're just NaruHina fans. They don't particularly care if Hinata ever betters herself as long as NH is canon.

 

That is just a sad fanbase to have for any character.

And it does. Her obsession with Naruto is actually holding her back, not pushing her forward.

But yeah, their theory really don't happen. Heck, you could say the same for hand holding because it wasn't saved for the end and it happened in a friendly term. When we don't really think, we get a surprise. I only know one that predicted cpr and I thought, "That's not possible. He needs other Kyuubi." Long behold, we got it. I wasn't the same again. Interesting, no?

I'm ok with her now. I don't really feel any hate towards her in general, so I'm not gonna bash her or anything like that. Her fans, on the other hand, who love to criticize Sakura on a daily basis but ignore Hinata's flaws can get this drag whenever they want it

It would be different if the manga called ninja magic and naruto is not the only protagonist.
And that's why I don't have any problem with Hinata. Her character already doom in love department.

I don't hate Hinata either. I just get disappointed and frustrated with her sometimes because I want her to focus on something other than Naruto. That's why I'd be fine if Hinata had a big part in The Last as long as shows development and proves Naruto isn't the most important thing in her life. I'd actually be really happy for her.

 

I remember a NH fan accusing me of wanting Hinata to get over Naruto because she's a threat to my ship. Lol really. I just want her to be a better character.

Well, yeah that's the ending. Kind of a kitten up ending. I mean all people I know become a chilly soup. Well the rebuild is more kitten up.
Try become a man and save the girl, only to end up killing most humanity.
Snk villain must be proud with shinji.

I am more curious on who is the villain. I think nothing better than orochimaru. I think madara meteor attack use part of the moon. That mean if orochimaru gain madara rinnegan, he could drop a whole moon as long as he has enough chakra.

And will sasuke awaken the rinnegan in this movie?

Yes, but she has  the guts to say she has the same nindo as Naruto, and haven't improved much. He's not supposed to be a genius too, and he is one of the strongest shinobis ever if not the one, and she keeps saying his quotes while fighting like a scared bunny.

Hmm... Well, Naruto did have the unpredictability factor going in his favour. He's capable of thinking outside of the box while under pressure and he can devise impressive schemes to slip between the cracks of any defence that's thrown in front of him. Remember, this is the same boy who successfully outwitted a Jonin when he was a fresh-faced recruit during the Land of Waves arc.

With how many advantages Hinata has been given, I would argue that Naruto was blessed with more, in spite of his underdog status throughout the early stages of the manga. Here they are:

- Reserves of stamina that far exceed any normal amount for a number of Jonin, much less any lone Genin
- A Jinchuuriki for the most powerful bijuu currently alive
- Legendary shinobi of the most advanced level for teachers
- An exclusive learning method that only he can use which shaved off a considerable amount of time during his training

A lot of the shortcomings that Hinata has experienced stems from her own personality flaws, and maybe she hasn't capitalised on her clan's resources and knowledge, but to claim that her silver spoon is equally comparable to Naruto's isn't quite right, in my opinion.
 

Her improvement was awful, seriously, take Ino as a reference. She is nor a genius or has Naruto's nindo, but she has improved much more than Hinata, much more. Ino was like... nothing in pt 1, now, she can make transmissions to the whole shinobi alliance and is also a medical ninja (not as good as Sakura, of course). That's improvement. Being able to use Byakugan taijutsu and then, with a loot of effort, doing 64 palms once and getting exhausted is not.

I agree. The manga has given Ino quite a number of impressive feats to rival what her father has accomplished. If anyone is worthy of taking the mantle for clan head, it's characters like Ino and Choji. But tell me, given the current circumstances, what do you believe is a more valuable asset to have on a battlefield where there are thousands of soldiers grouped together fighting against the same enemy, a communications officer that can link every soldier on the battlefield to the same network to receive strategic updates and instructions with some medical training or a basic front line fighter with reconnaissance capabilities on the side?

Different roles for different characters with different specialties... Certainly in terms of front line combat skills, Hinata has the advantage (there's a topic discussing a hypothetical match up between Hinata and Ino somewhere on this forum if you were wondering), but Ino has a far more pronounced skillset that sees frequent use.
 

I was actually wondering, would Kakashi keep his same stats, or would they lower since he doesn't have the Sharingan anymore?

The Databook only factors in a shinobi's abilities at their most basic level. If anything, Kakashi's stats should improve since his stamina is freed from the consumptive drawbacks of the Sharingan. He might reach the same statistical level as the Sannin.
