one of my subscribers on Youtube told me that the ending could change for the final volume since it's suppose to come out in February. I don't wanna raise hope for anyone by saying this, but is that possible?
I don't really think it's likely for that to happen cause I don't think any of the previous volumes had any major change to them. If they did could someone clarify me on that?
The volumes do undergo some revisions with some of the minor details, but I don't recall there ever being too drastic of a change in imagery. So don't hold your breath for anything drastic in February.

Not really. At least my experience.one of my subscribers on Youtube told me that chapters 699 and 700 could have a massive change for the final volume since it's suppose to come out in February. He went out to further explain how the japanese fan base are backlashing at how these last two chapters were handled I don't wanna raise hope for anyone by saying this, but is that possible?

Wishful thinking but at least there's logic behind this. Hopefully this isn't a red herring

So what were the red flags for you guys on the series going "wrong"?
693 did it for me. Up until that point you could make an argument for everyone's character development. The war arc was over and the Sasuke vs. Naruto fight hype was helping the story. However in 693, Sakura who had just punched a shinobi god groveled at Sasuke's feet, called herself pathetic, and showed that she was just the same as her part 1 self. Naruto gave up on her and didn't even bother defending her. Sasuke was incredibly evil and yet he was changed in 6 chapters. And Kakashi, my favorite hero, who was the only one who stood up to Sasuke endorsed a relationship that was mired in abuse, isolation, and rejection.
Yup I was done at that point.

On October 5 when it was announced that Naruto would be ending in 5 weeks. When that was announced, I was very confused and worried as to how Kishi would be able to wrap up everything in a very satisfying manner in 5 chapters. Turns out he didn't, and we got a very poor and rushed ending.

I hear that.
Another sign for me was just how rushed Naruto and Sasuke's fight felt, even if Sasuke managed to break free from the Curse of Hatred in the end.

Funny note here: According to a few of my friends, they were playing games online and people mentioned me and my podcast on chat with them all agreeing with me.

Kakashi saying that love doesn't need a reason. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew that that Kishi's way of saying he doesn't have to justify SasuSaku and that if we didn't like it, too bad.
Neji dying for the sake of a NaruHina moment too and Naruto uncharacteristically wanting to give up. That should have told me something.

Do people not realize the different between real abuse Sakura suffered at the hands of Sasuke and the fact that the "abuse" Naruto suffers from Sakura is a common trope?
It's like asking people to not be hypocrites, which in the case of the Naruto fandom, is impossible.
Sasuke abusing Sakura is apparently hidden love. They justify it by saying he had a kitten childhood. So if I had a kitten childhood, I can treat everyone around me like kitten and it'll be excusable?
However, Sakura hitting Naruto sometimes to keep him in check and for comedic effect... is deemed as abusive.
Smh.

I also think "dattebasa" sounds really stupid. I like the fanon "dattebaro" better.
what does it mean anyways?

You mean the inflection Naruto has? -ttebayo, or "Dattebayo" doesn't mean anything as far as I know; it's just the way Naruto talks (this is allegedly why the English dub had him spout "Believe it!" like a parakeet, because at the time they believed it was the best way to over-dub him saying '-ttebayo' at the end of sentences)

So what were the red flags for you guys on the series going "wrong"?
693. And not for reasons that pertain to the romance subplot but for the fact that Naruto's character seemed lifeless thereon and kishi continued to write Sasuke as the superior figure right to the very end.
