Not everyone has the raw talent and sense to become a prodigy. You need some kind of equilibrium between the aspiring underdogs who have to practice for years to get somewhere and the geniuses that have everything as coming natural to them in a short period of time. For Hinata, Neji is not a weak benchmark to have. He was always one of the more advanced and capable shinobi out of the K11. If she can refine her own style of combat while perfecting the unqiue clan abilities of the Hyuga like Neji did, then there are a number of opportunities that become available to her - to surpass just SRA Neji would put her above most of her female classmates and a few of the boys. Given the fact that Hinata was never intended to be a powerhouse, it's not an unimpressive accomplishment.

 

I didn't say she has to become a prodigy or a powerhouse but the technique she acquired,that too on the battlefield is very unimpressive.The point is given the time of hard training she did the feat she showed is very unimpressive.She is not a genius and has to work hard to attain powers but the technique she learnt after all this time,that too on the battlefield is embarrassing coz genious or not she is a hyuga and someone of her caliber(even if its hard work) should prove at least one or two better results by this time skip,it is only simple development expected from a hard working hyuuga like her thus it is unimpressive from her or more precise to be the author since it was a final display of K11 powers in the manga.I'm sure u understand this.

That's true, but it's a fairly close race between Hinata, Tenten, and Ino. The difference is no greater than 1.5 overall as of the 3rd Databook. Although, when you factor in the statistical totals of adults like Tsunade, Kurenai, Shizune, and Anko, then the placings become a tad skewed. Most of those kunoichi have a greater total than Sakura even.

Hopefully, Kishi releases a fourth databook. I want to see how far up their stats have gotten now. I think Sakura should be in the 30s by now, since she was at 26 in the 3rd one. I don't even know about Naruto's & Sasuke's, since they've pretty much surpassed everyone.

I don't think the Databooks factor in transformed states like SM or KCM, in regards to stats. Team 7 has definitely reached the early to mid 30s by now (Sasuke was already there actually.). It'll be interesting to see who out of the K11 has reached Jonin tier statistically and who hasn't. As of now, I think the only other member who has any hope of reaching 30 is Neji. He was the sole character who managed to uphold a statistical lead ahead of Naruto and Sakura over the timeskip.

It's a chance, but to me it definitely doesn't look like that, specially because it wouldn't make much sense. Since the beginning, it has been said that Hinata is supposed to be the future leader of the Hyugas. So I don't see why that wouldn't happen. About Naruto having a home wife... hmm.... meeh.... My expectations are still low but to me, it looks like Hinata will be more focused on Hyugas.

Yes, but she has  the guts to say she has the same nindo as Naruto, and haven't improved much. He's not supposed to be a genius too, and he is one of the strongest shinobis ever if not the one, and she keeps saying his quotes while fighting like a scared bunny. Her improvement was awful, seriously, take Ino as a reference. She is nor a genius or has Naruto's nindo, but she has improved much more than Hinata, much more. Ino was like... nothing in pt 1, now, she can make transmissions to the whole shinobi alliance and is also a medical ninja (not as good as Sakura, of course). That's improvement. Being able to use Byakugan taijutsu and then, with a loot of effort, doing 64 palms once and getting exhausted is not. 

 

Stats wise, Hinata's the second strongest out of the leaf kunoichi, only behind Sakura. Add Temari in there, then she's the third strongest. So she's really not doing that bad, per se.

I don't think so. I find Temari much stronger tbh. And Konoha young girls are not a good reference of power, just Sakura. But take a look at Anko, Tsunade, Kurenai..... Hinata is nothing compared to them.

Temari actually is stronger than Hinata. In order, It's Sakura, Temari, Hinata, Ino, Tenten, then Karin(if you want to count her too).

given how heavily he relied on the sharingan for his techniques, i'd say his stat sheet took a hit.
