A fair point. Didn't Kishi explain the use of sandal for? I could have sworn he did in one volume...

I miss the day where elemental attack like water,earth elemental were use by using/forming seal with both hands, and when ninjas here still use stealth. A now look at this, all of that were forgotten, they exaggerating eye power like hell, eye power=god power. Kakashi said shinobi tactics is 3= taijutsu, genjutsu, ninjutsu. But now kitten all of that kitten. All you need is eye power and you will master all of that. This is the first anime that WAY WAY way exaggerating eye power too damn much, its like, you got sharingan= you will be god.

I miss the day when this manga had logic.

It's like taking Full metal Alchemist where they hammer in the "Equivalent exchange" concept over and over only for in the last 11 chapters they completely ignore it and allow Ed to transmute anything out of nothing.

This is such a good point. I was thinking about the comments I made earlier in this thread about how this manga used to be about cherishing friends and fighting against the odds. And it's true. For me, part of what drew me to Naruto was that he was an underdog. He fought against the odds to triumph over people who were more naturally gifted, had built in advantages, etc. etc. That was a big source of the tension and enjoyment. From the bit I've read in Gaiden, it's just not the same watching Naruto and Sasuke spam attacks using their reincarnated God powers. That's not the Naruto I grew to love.

The preview asked, "What is the goal that Sarada learned from graduation?!" The movie trailer has her saying, "No way, Boruto. I will be the next Hokage." Yes, that's why Boruto and Sarada are rivals. Sad, no more running away and innuendo love.

This hokage thing again? Ugh

And to think that at the beginning of gaiden Salad was even questioning the actual child ninja's role in the society

I disagree.
All that power is part of what make naruto interesting.
sharingan only become hax when you get ms and beyond.

Kishi problem with battle is his lack of battle to fully emphasize the concept of his ninja battle.

You have a point and kishi could use this somehow, though if he is really going to follow the "sakura's the mom" route he is going to make the entirety of the gaiden pretty much useless and nonsensical ( well more than it is already)

The hokage position is pretty much pointless nowadays in naruto, its basically a glorified mayor.
and the worst thing is that looking back on it, the way the next hokage is chosen is really screwed up, basically all the hokages were apprentices of other hokages and so on, it seems unfair
