I mean if we go though this logic the hug is also discarded because Sakura also doesnt have romantic feelings for Naruto

Sakura hugging Naruto in such an intimate way, of her own volition, for no reason other than to give him thanks, recognition, and affection -- whether it can be proven as romantic affection or just in friendship -- in full view of the village.... That entire scenario was different because it was a tile in the mosaic of Sakura's slow realization of Naruto's importance to her and her growing feelings for him.The point of the hug was not to prove that Sakura was in love with Naruto that time. The point was to prove that it was not only possible that she could be in love with him in the future, but to suggest that she was in the process of falling in love with him already.Naruto holding Hinata's hand had none of that -- past, present, or future. It wasn't about Naruto/Hinata. It was about Naruto regaining his focus and preparing to share his strength with his friends, and Hinata realizing a private wish.
Bam! That's a short way to put it. I can't do that.

I think about the latter but emphasized on acknowledgement.
1@ Bolded she only realized that after Sai told her that Naruto loved her and she decided to return his feelings because of that not on the hug moment.
2@ Bolded, i didnt talked about it specifically but the point of the hug was the acknowledgement of the village though Naruto's love interest which it's what makes it meaningfull and romantic nothing to do with Sakura realizing something since quickly after that moment she still had feelings for Sasuke and she almost spell it out once again when the kumo ninjas asked what Sasuke is to her.
Your second point, the scene that proves that she can love Naruto on the future was on her confession she said the things Naruto did to her and that makes it clear that her desire to return what Naruto did to her and how much he cares about him was stronger than her feelings for Sasuke not the hug.
About the process off falling in love with Naruto, there's two interpretations there's the route she's slowly falling in love with and there's the fact that she's not in love with Naruto and neither in process off slowly falling in love with him.
I prefer the second which makes sense, NS lacks a meaningfull moment that makes a girl fall in love with the guy, Kushina fell in love with Minato when on the moment he saved her and complimented her forehead, NS we had the moment where Naruto saves Sakura's life that could be the impactfull moment but still lacked something that could change Sakura.
Does Naruto changed Sakura, he did influenced her but still she has struggles to self confidence issues on certains aspects if he changes that, then she will fall in love with him, acknowledging that she loves him.
Naruto has yet to change her to a point that she "loves" herself and values herself, not thinking that she only do useless things or hate any kind of physical attributes on her.
In fact Sakura does love Naruto but not on the way you're implying at.

Agree, that's why it's not romantic because his thoughts were not on Hinata it wasnt a moment where he shared particularly with Hinata, he thanked Neji too and realized that his friends also are there for him, and the people who made sacrifices in order for him to succeed it wasnt romantic, but it was a infatuation moment for Hinata that is due to her comment about Naruto's hand.

@KnS
I absolutely agree.
To be honest I actually wouldn't care too much about this pairing at this point if I didn't believe that Sakura had at least begun to have romantic feelings for Naruto. I'm in the camp that believes that she already loves him but that there are circumstances preventing her from acknowledging those feelings. Primarily her unresolved feelings for Sasuke.

So to finish up i believe NS is on a status quo.
Sakura does love Sasuke but i believe she already made up her mind to return Naruto's feelings because of the things he did to her and the fact she cares a lot for Naruto's happiness and Sasuke's bad actions on her, she took Naruto's feelings in consideration different than Lee's and Hinata's since despite knowing about their loves still confessed to Naruto and it says a lot.
For me i believe that NS will have an event where she falls in love with Naruto he making her view herself in a positive light instead of giving values to her mistakes, then after that she will fall in love with Naruto and return his feelings with the right purpose.

I said the same thing. I mean I have said that if Kishi wanted this pairing to be friendship only, he should have not going further with their relationship, but most importantly, he shouldn't be in line of being questioned of being in love. Too many teases, too many hints, and too many third party to make this a normal friend.@KnS

I think the same, the kushina parallel sealed off the deal.

Yes. This is why it's hard to ache for no conclusion. The best way to do so is to say, "Sorry, I got cancelled."

Exactly. Kishimoto's gone too far and his intentions seem incredibly obvious. There are many points where he could have broken off the relationship and no long term damage to the story would have occurred. It's too late for that now. We're too close to the end of the series now that any other pairing involving Naruto and Sakura would feel rushed and forced were it to occur.

Exactly. One thing I would comment is that there are manga/anime that can just keep the normal friendship in stable from beginning to the end. Hug that said "hey we cool" not "thank you", hand holding for normal intention, etc. It's all ruined with Sai/Sasuke arc. To make matter worse, the latest event still reminds NS, so now it's impossible to go back.Exactly. Kishimoto's gone too far and his intentions seem incredibly obvious. Ha ha speaking of keeping relationships only platonic. One of my original theories about Naruto and Sakura was that they were actually secretly brother and sister. Naruto was an orphan and we never saw Sakura's parents or knew much about her origins. Not to mention they acted very similarly in certain situations. I thought that was going to be the first big shocking reveal of the manga. I didn't really care about any of the couples at that point so it would have been fine with me. I dropped this theory before the end of the first part and it's been officially debunked of course but I did buy into it for a while!

I remember hearing that, though it does sound like a weak cop-out moment to make them not pairing. I think one anime actually did that. It was eh. Anyway, we know now her parents as well as Naruto's, so we are good to go.

This sounds like the Luke and Liea truth in Return of the Jedi.
Oh yeah, that too.

Pretty much. I did suspect that their father was the hokage that sealed the kyuubi into Naruto so I was at least part right.

Lol. Oh man, that would be so stupid to really have them as siblings. It's one of the worst cop-out moment ever in my opinion. I mean come on, really. "Hooray, they make a great couple. Oh wait, in the opening/ending, you made it too obvious that the other two are the real couple? So how can we negate this? Hmmm......Oh I know! Make them actual blood related!"
Lame!
