So... Aizen had been studying and tweeking Ichigo from the beginning. hmm, makes you wonder if Ishen worked for Aizen at one point.

I think it's possible that Ichigo's mother was a arrancar or more likely a Vaste Lord, and during her battle with Isshin they both somehow lost thier powers (possably thanks to Aizen) or maybe even gave their power up because they fell in love, and/or they gave the power to Ichigo so he would survive childbirth, (the two powers would clash and might be too strong for a newborn so needed more power to hold off the two opposing sides.) that's why Ichigo's Hollow side and Shinigami side are so much more powerful than regular shinigami, he's the product of a vaste lorde and Shinigami Captain.

but that's my theory, few weeks ago I would have dismissed it myself as being too lame and cliche and over the top but reading Aizen's monologue makes me think even the lamest of lames is possible, like Aizen being his mother...

It's Chapters like these and last week's that make me glad I'm not a fan anymore. There's a difference between interesting twists and just pulling stuff out of your ass....this is the latter.

I'm done with this series. I've never liked it that much to begin with (I never got into the story and there are few characters I care about or can relate to) but now I've decided instead of complaining about each Chapter every week to just stop reading altogether. Also, I'm enjoying the whole "I planned ALL OF THIS" from Aizen. He's becoming a much better Big Bad than most. Cliche? Yes, but it's more of a "Classic" kind of Cliche than a "Good god this stuff again?" kind of Cliche.

Ichigo's mother was a member of the royal family

Ichigo's father was a member of the royal guard

They fell in love, which was forbiden

They ran away to earth and took on human form with the help of Uahara

Ichigo was born with the combined powers of the shikigami and royal family

Aizen somehow discovered this

Ichigo's mother was killed by a hollow sent to test him

Aizen anticipated Ichigo would gain hollow powers to go after Rukia and wanted to see what kind of strength this triple hybrid could produce

The main source of Aizen's interest is the royal bloodline

Ichigo could be the one capable of producing a key and granting Aizen access to the royal family

I guess we'll find out if this is even close soon.

Bwa ha ha ha ha! Isshin is freakin' awesome! He headbutted Ichigo across the city, and then kicked Aizen's ass by flipping him off so hard it knocked him backwards!

And Gin is back, fighting Ichigo, and using BanKai straight off. This is going to be epic beyond words.

I didn't really see much happening in this chapter but it's glad to see the father and son humor again. It also appears Gin doesn't care to much about Aizen, I kind of thought that before though. I think Gin will be taken down for releasing his Bankai early and as much as I hate to say it, Aizen will still probably defeat Isshin.

LOL Can't beleive Kubo messed up the translation at the end of last weeks chapter. Ironic how the person who said the line is a genius who plans decades in advance and turns out the following week he got his lines mixed up.

Damn the best part of last weeks manga turns out to be incorrect....lol

Yeah, that line threw everyone off XDD I didn't really see how Ichigo could have inherited hollowness though, so it makes much more sense this way.

Awesome chapter, really loved seeing Ichigo and Isshin talk, and Ichigo acted grown up for once :3 Middle-finger-of-DOOM was an effective move, though I wonder if Aizen will come back next chapter with more 'just as expected' talk or perhaps it was an illusion altogether.

Can't wait to see what Gins bankai is though!!

Will Ryuuken appear before Ishida now as well??

Maybe it wasn't an error, but rather intentional. We're lead to believe a "perfect" hybrid is a shinigami/hollow combination, but what if you throw in human as well?

Seeing the old skool Isshin/Ichigo bonding was a nostalgic feeling from the early chapters. It looks like Kubo is doing a Goku/Gohan father/son tag team? Awwwww yeah.

Gaaaaah, I was hoping to see this happen! Isshin apparently can back up his talk with his actions. I mean...he sent Aizen flying (hopefully) with a flick of his middle finger!!! :O

The father-son scene was pretty cool; Ichigo's grown up a lot since this whole debacle has started, in my opinion. He's not concerned with what he may be. He's more concerned with the here and now. Definite signs of maturity (or just understanding that there are two very powerful foes that need to be dealt with at the moment).

Well, on top of that, Kubo's managed to hook-line-and sinker me once again by having Gin utter that magic word. I'm really curious as to what his bankai is. I've come to the conclusion that I cannot make an accurate guess on what a Shinigami's bankai is; we have Hitsugaya who sort of becomes a combination between his zanpakutou's spirit and himself, Komamura's becomes even larger than its shikai form, yet then we have Soifon who gains a missile launcher. I have a few guesses, but I doubt any of them are close. Kubo's a master at throwing his fans for a loop (or making them roll their eyes).

We'll just have to see how this fight goes. So many possibilities await, yet I still don't think this fight's anywhere near finished. Aizen hasn't even taken of the kiddie gloves yet and he's a force to be reckoned with...

...I just hope Isshin gets to show his shikai too.
