!!! Locker Room Morale was already low... regardless of how this ends, the team is going to suffer more because of it. Is the receiving core really that bad?
If Moss is moved against his will that's going to add to locker room suckage!
Moss would be a great weapon ... if he wants to play for the team. Remember Oakland Raiders Moss? Neither do I.

Bears... didn't get a chance to watch the game, was Chester Taylor's TD nullified by a penalty?
First win for the Lions!
Giants bouncing back, maybe the Texans weren't who we thought they were.
Saints! Seriously if this is another game decided by a field goal, you need a huge kick in the rear!
Go Raiders!

The Cowboys caught up?

Arizona, wow, surprising victory over the saints.

I don't think Packers are frauds, it's just that they can't execute in the second half and their lack of discipline cause them lots of yards via penalties, but of course I'm biased. More concentration and a variety in play calls might help in the second half.
Texans, it looks like they're going to be included in the same category as their cousins the Cowboys, as a team that on paper should be good, but just can't get it done.
Arizona defeating Saints... wow, but honestly the Saints have been playing really complacently lately, no passion, no urgency. Lack of a running game. Ugly game. Good job getting the W, Cards.
Is it just me, or have interceptions been more abundant this year? It feels like on average there has been at least one interception thrown by all quarterbacks so far this season.

Favre & Moss against the Jets, big game for Minnesota. Especially with all the controversy surrounding Favre.
I don't know about Green Bay, but yea the Texans are pretty much frauds. I can see them beating Philly but they're definitely not as good as advertised. The Packers did miss Clay Matthews, he was tearing it up in the first half. Oh and Dallas is 1-3, awesome. Talented team but they continue to make costly mistakes that cost them wins. I think the Defense is over aggressive, they stop need to blitzing so much, teams are attacking their safety's and the cornerbacks haven't done well either. They can forget about a home Super Bowl, now they have to worry about just making the playoffs.

My NFC north prediction: Packers continue to be plagued by injuries 8-8, Vikes will do much better when Rice comes back but it'll be too late and they'll go 8-8 at the most, with the Bears out front 10-6 because their schedule is the most forgiving for their talent level, and the Lions going 5 - 11.

This game didn't really matter. It was important because a loss puts us 2.5 games behind the Bears and a win would've indicated that we've turned the corner, but we don't have any divisional losses and it's still early. If the Vikings panic and/or turn on each other, it'll be bad, but otherwise, we have plenty of season left to get it together. But it's not a season-ending loss.
I'm actually pretty encouraged because for about a quarter and a half, the Vikings offense didn't look completely inept and actually looked pretty good. I would've been a bit more encouraged if that had lasted for a couple more plays.

We have a bye, but I think we could find a way to lose that too. All that's left is to wait for that high draft pick and hope we don't blow it. I knew we'd struggle, but not this much.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers Next Game: VS. Cleveland Browns
2. Baltimore Ravens Next Game: @ New England Patriots
3. New York Jets Next Game: @ Denver Broncos
4. Atlanta Falcons Next Game: @ Philadelphia Eagles
5. Indianapolis Colts Next Game: @ Washington Redskins (Monday Night Football)
6. New England Patriots Next Game: VS. Baltimore Ravens
7. Chicago Bears Next Game: VS. Seattle Seahawks
8. Green Bay Packers Next Game: VS. Miami Dolphins
9. New Orleans Saints Next Game: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10. Kansas City Chiefs Next Game: @ Houston Texans
New England will try to avenge their playoff loss to Baltimore, while the Saints and Buccaneers meet in a big NFC South clash. Should Vick play, he'll get the start against his former team the Atlanta Falcons. The Colts and Skins, both 3-2, will meet in Washington on Sunday night. And a huge matchup between the Vikings and the Cowboys, it's all or nothing for both teams. A lot of parity in the NFL, which makes every week and game interesting.

I thought it was an important game. We're three games removed from the half-way point of the season and we couldn't move the ball until half way through the third quarter. I understood that there would be some mechanics to deal with having just acquired Moss, but until that point the only play to get a first down was the first play from Harvin to Moss to Favre. They needed a W last night badly for morale and for some momentum, and the cursed one did his cursed thing. But all that aside, it looks like he's got something worse to deal with right now, and it doesn't look good.

If the defense keeps on playing like it has all season and the offense can play like it did in the second half against one of the best defenses in the NFL, I like the Vikes' chances. Sure, Favre still had the stupid mistake, but he and the receivers actually looked like they were finally on the same page and they rolled up a lot of yards fast.
1-3 is bad, but still manageable. I do agree that it's an important game, but it's not the season on the line. Because we lost the game, the Dallas game is getting close to that. Regardless of whether we win that one or not, the game after is huge.

Kolb did great, the play calling was perfect. They didn't put the entire game on him. He made some nice throws deep to Maclin. Hope Desean gets better soon, we have a great WR duo. Also Atlanta is a dirty football team. Lots of cheap shots. Defense was great all around, Trent Cole and Asante earned their paychecks.
Hard to believe the bears lost.

Chiefs fall to Texans.
Miami in OT
New England in OT
SPOILER ALERT: Cleveland lost to Pittsburgh
Eagles are the bigger bird of prey compared to a Falcon
And San Francisco beating Oakland 10-6 in the 4th man if they lose that...well the Giants are in the Postseason and San Jose is good at hockey...oh well.
Desperation Bowl 2010 Update: 11:30 in the 4th 21-14 Vikings.
Update 2: 10:18 Dez Bryant TD we're tied again. Personal opinion: Game will be decided by the coin flip.

Pretty nice game for Kolb, probably the best win of the season thus far. They were able to get off to a fast start and take Michael Turner out of the game, and didn't let Ryan get comfortable. I'm glad that they were able to get Desean involved, his big plays stretches the field and opens things up for the rest of the Offense. The playcalling, specifically in the first half, was good. They mixed it up and and weren't predictable, the Falcons defense was overmatched. Great game from the defense too, they looked alot better against the run. Now the negatives. Kolb's pick at the end of the half almost came back to haunt em. But a great job of selling the run by Maclin got him open for a practically game sealing TD. I also liked seeing Kolb take on John Abraham on the end around to Jackson, he did all he could to help the team win. The Jackson injury sucks, he won't back till after the BYE, hopefully Maclin will be up to the task next week. If Kolb plays well again next week, Andy will have another tough decision to make. Consistency has been a problem for Philly, so I won't get too excited. Tennessee is tough matchup for them next week, and they could easilly stink it up against them.
Big win for the Vikes, the rest of the North lost today so they're right in the thick of things. They'll go to Green Bay to take on an ailing Packers team. As for Dallas, I won't bury them just yet, but I just might if they lose against NY next week. Romo's turnovers turned into 10 points for Minnesota, but the whole team made mistakes and that's why they're 1-5. The end of Wade Phillips draws near.
