Spirit; Stallion of Cimarron 8/10
this is one of my favourite movies. It makes me cry! It's perfect. And Hans Zimmer got the soundtrack! I also liked that they had a more accurate portrayal of native americans, unlike let's say Pocahontas(who wrote it as an equal war, especially in the "savages" song.) White people were the villains in this movie, yes! I'll always love this.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame: 10/10
Disney (IMO) has no better masterpiece than The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Nup, you can't change my mind, none of ya! It is the perfect marriage of music and animation, and contains two of the most powerful music moments in movie history - again, in my (very learned) opinion. Alan Menken for the win!
Aside from the absolute perfection of the music, this movie also contains one of my favorite characters of all time. Can I just say that Esmeralda is my idol?? She's the best female character ever created. She's so strong and good, and unlike the strong women in today's movies whose characters are defined by their seductiveness and MEANNESS, Esmeralda is kind and selfless, and her character isn't defined by being seductive! She is a strong, incredible woman who isn't afraid to stand up for what's right and to DIE for it. She doesn't judge others. She doesn't care if Quasimodo's deformed, she loves him and cares about him anyway! I think that her song, "God Help the Outcasts," is a perfect example of the kind of person she is. After all these people who have so much pray for wealth, fame, glory, and love, Esmeralda, who at this point has NOTHING and is trapped with no hope of escape, says, "I ask for nothing. I can get by, but I know so many less lucky than I." What an amazing attitude! Even though she's trapped, she STILL isn't thinking about herself - she's only thinking about others. She's not worried about being locked inside a church. She wants other people to be blessed.
Ah man, it makes me teary-eyed just thinking about it! I could go on and talk about how Frollo is an awesome bad guy and how all the parallels and deep meanings in that movie are so wonderful, and how the music is perfect and the animation beautiful, but I'll stop there. I just wanted to fangirl over Esmeralda for a bit
Okay I'm done.
While I wouldn't say it's the best disney animated movie, I will say it's probably the most underrated one.

Dracula Untold 7/10
Legendary Pictures launches it's monster cinematic universe off on somewhat sub-par feet. In order to make Vlad the impaler more relatable, this story focuses on his desire to protect his family -- his actions being to protect them. As a child Vlad earned his title as the impaler as a part of the Turkish army. Somehow peace is reached. Vlad gets his own kingdom. All is well until the Turkish army demands all the boys of Kingdom Dracula. Here is where the film introduces it's main antagonist, one of Dracula's fellow soldiers now a sultan. Dracula fears for his son and struggles with how to handle the situation. He is familiar with the mentality of the Turkish army and decides there is only one way to save his child: he must become a monster. The premise that a proven soldier's only means to protect that which he holds most dear is to gamble with his soul and become a monster is interesting. This would have made for a good dramatic watch if it didn't all just feel extremely short and patched together. The dialogue between love and family is a bit cheesy sometimes but it would be passable if the danger was more than just visual. In this age of Lord of the Rings, a large army, though daunting in real life, is extremely blase as a threat. There is no loss, there is no real fear or tension built before Dracula's ultimate sacrifice. So when he makes the decision, it feels to us, that he makes it without trying other things first. When he does have the power, it is so grand that one wonders why he didn't just use it to finish off the invading army to begin with. There are some neat things they're setting up for their shared universe, but there are enough leaps in logic, especially towards the end, that it's just too hard to ignore. I hope their next outing/ creature-feature is more engaging.

The Book of life 10/10
What an amazing movie! It was great getting to something new and fresh, and simply breath taking!! The colors were so vibrant and the fact that it was about the day of the dead made my heart smile. My kids loved it as did my husband and I ;D

Lucy.
6/10 I found it funny, but kind of boring and predictable in a lot of points. It was okay... I laughed my butt off, when she turned into god in the end. I think the part where she touched her finger with the first human in the world was nice. But honestly though, I sometimes felt like it had no real plot, and really didn't go anywhere.
Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.
Probably cause they hate Sakura. When she's probably the most developed female character in the whole show.
I respect Hinata, but Sakura deserves some too.

Chef 8/10
I liked it. I didn't think I would. Favreau does a great job capturing the creative spirit of a passionate chef. Favreau plays a chef who quits his restaurant job and travels the country in a food truck with his estranged son and his friend, being his own boss and trying to make a living out of his passion for cooking. RDJ and Scarjo make brief cameos, probably as a favor to a friend and to try and boost the marketability of the movie.
Oculus 8/10
This movie has gotten mixed reviews, but I think it's a great psychological horror film. The outcome is obvious but it's the way the evil entity toys with the main characters' perception that makes this movie really gut-wrenching and suspenseful. It's almost like you're going crazy with the characters. Real small but real smart horror film.

One Piece Movie 6: 9/10
This movie got a lot of complaints do to the animation because drastically different than the normal series. If you enjoy only the fighting then this might not be the One Piece movie for you, this movie is used to show the deep bonds between each of the Straw Hat Pirates and it does an astounding job doing so. In my honest opinion this is one of my favorite One Piece movies to date and I really enjoyed the animation of it.

John Wick 7/10
Pedal to the metal movie. It knows what it is, almost like a video game, but fully embraced it, making it fun.
That puppy!!!! And then in the morning it had crawled ...
The last fight is a little... meh and the ending is equally so. I would've moved some story things around to making it more impactful but definitely worth the money.
Now I want a puppy....

The Quiet Ones
5/10 I thought this movie was... in my opinion, awful :/ It wasn't scary, the characters were so dull, the 'villains' weren't interesting, the romance was so out of place, and shouldn't have even been there... My cousin liked it, but I literally could not see the good in it. Of course, it's just my opinion.
Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.

Saw it at the movies with some friends and it was pretty good, I guess. But it was a bit predictable, but otherwise a good movie.

Wall E: 9/10
Just very good. I love the idea of being 70 percent a silent film. The main characters are just adorable together. I love pretty much everything about it.

Gone Girl I love it but I hate it
Score says it all. Messed up, but not overly so. But yeah, there are only two characters I really liked in the whole movie. But that's not the point.
