You'd have to be really neutral to enjoy this chapter, to a level I wouldn't even consider them fans. You can't be a fan of any series without atleast caring a little bit about the charactors...but that's just my personal opinion.

 

OK a bit off topic but is anyone else curious as to how Sakura managed to get a hold of a photo Team Taka minus beast boy? Did she take it? She somehow had time to have time to take a photo of Sasuke and his team but no photo of them together? It's just curious.

 

I also refuse to buy into the theory Sasuke didn't know about Sarada, there are plenty of ways to get messages to him....Naruto would know how to et a hold of him at the very least so in that case that would make Sakura look even worst and Naruto a crappy friend....I really don't see how Kishi can write himself out of this.

I know, I'm sick of complaining, so I don't give a damn anymore, just reading because I like Sarada.

is a while since I've come here but after this chapter I could not help myself.my opinion is that they will make sarada the focal point for drama of this manga just like they make sasuke in shippuden,i don't believe the sarada is karin's child I believe they did this to add suspense and mystery to the plot.in any case i really dont give a kitten anymore but I must admit that it's fun to watch other fandoms tremble

Yeah, I read many comments that said, "Thank you for making Sakura even more trash. She is so kitten." Put it this way, this series is so bad it's good, and I know Kishi isn't aiming for that.

So, the thing about Sakura and punching the ground.... I don't see it as an example of child abuse. Just a weak connection from Sakura to Tsunade. Since Tsunade's been shown to behave like this to Sakura many times, and slapping and physical comedy is big in this manga, I think this is one of those overblown reactions. Not abuse, because when Tsunade reacted that way to Sakura, it wasn't considered abuse either. (In real life, that's unacceptable. But this is a manga, and a terrible one at that.)
 
But here's the problem with the scene: Where Tsunade does punches the ground and destroys whole swaths of land, people step back and look at her with awe and put her in a place of power. But if Sakura does it, she is shown destroying her own home and passing out. She is punished for her power, and only ends up hurting herself.
 
So Kishimoto just continues to undermine Sakura. He is constantly punishing her for speaking out, using her abilities, having a temper, etc. This is why he's sexist. Because where Naruto rewarded for the same personality, skills and strength, Sakura is put down and her self-empowerment is punished.
 
There has yet to be a positive outcome for Sakura in the ending. Not one single thing has happened good for her. 
 
And I think the reason is because she's not Hinata. She's not passive and flawless and created to be easy-to-look-at and undemanding. Sakura is like a real life girl, and Kishimoto doesn't know how to write for those.
 
I'm sorry to say, but I don't expect much more for Sarada. He's never written well for females. I'm not holding out any hope that he's changed now.
 
I understand that you're talking about the emotional core of what's happening.... And it's true. In real life, reacting that way would be reprehensible. But I just don't think Kishimoto thinks that deeply. Sakura is just a disposable character now. She's a one-time main character who has now become the butt of some sexist joke for Kishimoto. He just keeps going back to it, but nobody with a brain thinks it's funny.

I'm not really labeling it child abuse, I don't even know what to name it. But the scenario's are completely different. Tsunade would do it and would get awe as a response, as well as fear, like you said, but that wasn't fear that imposed on those that experienced it. It was fear that reinforced the awe. Sakura got called out on something that she is insecure about, acted violently, and put fear into Salad, to the point where I think it was mentioned that Salad was beginning to tear up. That is the exact same way Sasuke reacted, the last time being when Sakura herself groveled one her knees and he lashed out by thee genjutsu murder. Literally one more foot and Salad, a child, is dead. 
 
Even if Kishi doesn't think that deeply, it doesn't mean that we should lower the standards. It's like officers say, ignorance of the law is not a defense. The same applies here. The fact that he may not think what Sakura did was reprehensible doesn't change the fact that it's wrong.
 
I completely agree with you though, when you speak of Kishi's writing of her. He doesn't know how to write women, real women, else we would have a different ending. I can't wait till he wrecks Hinata though XD Naruto and Sakura, the real ones, deserve much, much better.

I have some predictions  :

 1- Either Sasuke will come back to Konoha and hear about Sakura being at the hospital, go see her, and then Sarada will come in, and see them maybe hugging each other, hear them talking, and then we'll know for sure at that moment that Sakura is in fact, really Sarada's mom. 

 

2-Sarada will first meet with Sasuke, and maybe be angry at him then she will cry and forgive him, because...it's SASUKE, and everyyyyone forgives him whatever he does ! Then we'll have the confirmation that Sakura is Sarada's mom. 

 

3- Maybe Sasuke will see Karin, and there will be a talk between them...aaaand of course we'll know that in fact she's not Sarada's mom. And later, we'll have an SS moment.

 

Nope, I think this drama will be milked for awhile and things will focus more on the kids instead of the parents
