I know that I said to stop to talk about them but....

I heard that Sakura rejected him in front of Minato....

What evidence do they have to verify this claim? Should we place more stock in what these embittered fans believe or in the general consensus that all of the translations have come to when referring to Sakura's reaction of Minato's question? There wasn't any denial of Naruto's answer to the question. The most you could possibly argue for is that the matter was left ambiguously unresolved.

Probably that's how Minato got hooked-up with Kushina, because that denial of Sakura's reminded him of his, by coincidence or not, wife.

You really can't argue with someone who is denial.

They will rage/denial rage/denial until they will accept the situation.

The chapter was so clear about the intentions of the future that I don't see any shred of doubt about any characters' intentions.

Even Sakura's character changed from one that we just didn't know where exactly it will go to showing in the next chapters her powers.

As NS4Life said: The mystery now is HOW NS will become cannon.

You can see just by looking at their comments/ so called "arguments" that they don't have much. Almost nothing against us. I'd feel bad if someone would bring up some of our desperate reactions (like what happened with 615) on their anti-NS pro-NH or pro-SS forums/threads etc. Leave them be.. and enjoy the journey.

NH is dead and they know it yet their most senior and diehard fans are trying to rally some moral by coming up with these whacky theories and claims. They cant admit defeat and much as they said to us during the 615 era.

This chapter was awesome.

But I am a little confused on Naruto's response to the girlfriend question. He seemed almost too open about his feelings, and he seemed to be reflecting on the past or something. It just makes me wonder if something happened off panel.

Just re-read the chapter and i'm going to be picky.

1) Top left panel the exclamation marks are from sasuke only???



2) Sakura's panels to when sasuke arrives and the consistent sasuke-kun's. Also knowing Ino still loves sasuke, ino reacts pretty much the same as sakura:

3) Sakura asking sasuke why he's here..... hmmmmm sounds like a very very very subtle and sneaky romance related comment, like: are you here for me? kind of thing. her facial expression kind of adds to this



Wow, i'm probably overthinking but still.....

This isn't a negative post whatsoever, green zone as grass here just bringing up some discussion talk

I think Sakura feels really awkward. The last time she saw him, she tried to kill him. She didn't meet up with Itachi. She has no idea that Sasuke was open to changing his mind. She probably still thought that he was hell bent on destroying Konoha. (If I am not mistaken...)



She will never hate him because he is part of team 7. I think she still says 'kun' because to leave that off would be a sign of her giving up on him as a teammate and as a Konoha ninja. She won't give up on him because she values him as part of team 7 and knows how much Naruto values him.

As for Sasuke's '!!'s, it could be for both of the guys, not just Sasuke. Even if it were just him though, he's probably at least somewhat surprised at her given their last encounter.

People keep saying SasuSaku is sunk and I have to say it's simply not true. It's NOT true until Sakura has dealt with herself. Period. She hasn't and right now in the manga isn't the time for it.

I posted earlier in the thread that I think the SasuSaku relationship is a little too fragile and beyond Kishi's ability to save properly. I genuinely think that is the case. It will be MUCH easier for him to write big strong moment with Sakura finally getting over her issues with Sasuke and Sasuke not giving a kitten rather than write a moment where he compromises Sasuke into begging for Sakura's forgiveness.

Alternatively, he could just compromise Sakura's development all together and have her fangirl on him. He didn't do that in 631 and I don't see him doing so. Not this late in the game anyway because he won't have any time to rectify it.

In short, SS is still sailing but they are sailing into a wall that only Kishi can write them out of and I don't think he's going to.

HOWEVER

I can totally see this turning into a triangle over Sakura. It won't take much effort from Kishi to have Sasuke insert a few looks in the right (wrong) direction, a couple saves in the upcoming battle, maybe Sasuke saying something like "Nothing can happen to you until I've rectified this." or something. Now, all of a sudden, we have a triangle between Sasuke and Naruto over being Hokage and we have a triangle over Sakura.

I'd say you're reading way too much into it.

In my opinion Sakura's face is one of shock when Sasuke first gets there. The same when she calls his name. She wasn't expecting him at all so the expression is completely natural. When she asks him why he's there she's suspicious. The last time she saw him he was saying he was going to kill Naruto and destroy Konoha. Why would she think he was there for her? Sakura's not that delusional. The exclamation by Sasuke only when she jumps to him and Naruto shouldn't mean anything.

@HauntedCake: Let's take the entire chapter as a whole. Minato gets to confirm the Sakura Kushina parallel, Naruto says yes to her being his girlfriend and Sakura doesn't outright denies it.

And then comes Sasuke which starts the conflict inside Team 7. Naruto said that team 7 is reborn but it still has it's inner demons. Naruto and Sasuke are rivals and Sakura is in the middle of it.

IMO Her stance regarding the two of them isn't clear now because it's not it's time. Now they have to fight like before because they have a common goal.

We dont know if she really got over him, the fact that people are screaming canon is the fact that Naruto has feelings for Sakura not Hinata as much as the NH fans claimed thousand of times after Pain's arc.

1 panel - Sakura was already feeling awkward and before this she said to Naruto that all of this are happening to sudden, she reacted more than a lot of times like this, like when Minato entered on Kyuubi mode the same reaction and moreover.
About Ino, she didnt just said Sakura-kun but also was already going to be close to him, which Shikamaru told her to back off.
2- Second Sakura screamed to call the others, because she thinks that Sasuke is a bad guy and would do something bad, so she call everyone, mostly like an alarm, her reaction on the third panel evidence that she does not trust on Sasuke, she asked why he is here when he did a lot of bad stuff, claimed that he would destroy konoha why all of sudden he's here.
And fourth, the first bubble if both of them who got surprised that she's here, and them on the last bubble it was from Naruto because Sakura was talking with Naruto only.

Omg. I'm totally imagining Sakura springing Sasuke's trap and acting like she's falling for him (sending our fanbase into a tizzy in the process because we think she's for real) but when he goes to attack her she flips on him like she did on Zetzu/Neji and says "She figured he would do this." Then we get a Sakura vs. Sasuke until Naruto Shows up and goes "I can't let you hurt the woman I love!" Then Naruto vs. Sasuke and Sasuke loses all hope of becoming Hokage in the process.
