Which ones, which tags? I've been cruising the naruhina and narusaku tags, and both are full of people calling for truces. There are still a few idiots here and there, but overall the attitude is content and calling for peace.

I wish NH and NS could have some peace already. Honestly, the shipping wars get ridiculous. People can't stop fanbashing, or bashing in general. It's really childish and immature. It's like you can't have a decent conversation without one troll coming in and messing it all up.

Everyone has something about a pairing they like, and it's so rude to bash them for it, I don't care which side of the ship you are on, or what one or two shippers did to you in the past. You should not treat everyone like they are the same based on similar tastes.

NS fans hate being called arrogant, but then call NH fans "stupid and illogical."

Stop making such general assumptions based on a fans preference. I like Hinata and Sakura, what of it? Does that mean I'm blind to their personalities? Absolutely not. I can see the good in Sakura just as much as I see the bad. But I understand her enough to realize she has a good heart and that her flaws do not make up the entirety of her character. The same is true with Hinata.

@Pink: I understand the frustration. It comes down to people feeling like whatever they've chosen to like is the "right choice", and that anyone liking someone in opposition/conflict (as in shipping Naruto with one girl while someone else ships him with another) is automatically wrong or even stupid for doing so--which is some of the saddest bullsh** I've ever seen. You wanna ship Naruto with Sakura? Fine. Ship him with Hinata? Kudos. You wanna discuss those preferences with each other and maybe even debate which one could be on its way to being canon? Brilliant! Just remember that so far there is no right or wrong, and that no matter what anyone ships you have to respect them and their choice of pairings.

@Toasty: And? Do a few people here and there amount to an all-out war? We've always had a few people here and there causing trouble; you can't expect complete peace because there's no guarantee of maturity and decency in everyone--especially on a site as large as Tumblr, sad as that is. But, a troll here and there does not negate the fact that a vast majority are getting sick of the fighting and are working to make amends and just get back to enjoying their respective ships.

And yes, there are many many trolls on Tumblr, but I've also seen an incredible amount of peace-loving fans there that just want to enjoy their fandoms and let others do the same--which is more than I can say for other sites.

^ And this is why I just kinda stopped all together with the shipping wars. I got tired of all the bashing from both sides. As much as there are negative ppl on both sides there are good positive ppl that listen and see both sides. They talk like mature adults and have fair debates. However in my experience the bad out way the good. The last time I tried to defend who I shipped I was called some very bad things and the NH fan even took a swipe at my kids (this happened on Facebook) After that I was done. I'll continue to ship NS but I'm done with giving my reasons why.

And while there may always people willing to continue it, there are people willing to stop it. I'd prefer it if you stopped coming to my blog just to make disparaging remarks like that, especially if you're going to carry on this conversation with other people while in my blog =/

In a slightly related but not-directed-at-you-Toasty vein, I just have no more patience for this forum. I left this place because I was fed up with petty arguments and holier-than-thou attitudes. I tried coming back months later, only to find it had actually gotten worse! No more intelligent debates, no more friendly discussions between people that disagree. Just lots of ass-patting between the NS fans, and lots of unwarranted hate for anyone else that dares step foot in here. I can't make some big declaration of leaving "for good" just yet--there are at least two members that give me some hope and keep me lurking here--but man am I so close to ditching this place.
