@ James S. Cassidy:I think Hinata deserves to be with someone, if she grows up a little more. I don't believe in Hinata all that much but I hope by the War Arc or timeskip, Kishimoto does her some justice. She just needs to grow up more and learn that not everything is centered around her, Naruto, and her feelings. Hinata's not a mean individual, she's just very self-absorbed. Probably more than she realizes, in fact. I know she cares about Naruto and loves him, but she seems to worry more about her own feelings. This constant selfish streak has caught her off guard and ruined many situations. She allowed herself to get distracted when Naruto to hit by Tobito, not ninja-like. And her confession was the major example. She confessed because she thought it was her last chance to do so, knowing that it would kill Naruto on the inside for seeing someone who's in love with him sacrifice herself. It would've been better if she
didn't confess, the burden of guilt/anger wouldn't of been so great. It was selfish, like she said. And what about when she arrived towards the alliance? Her annoying tunnel vision caused her to only worry about Naruto (who, for all intents and purposes, wasn't hurt badly), with Kakashi/Guy bleeding right next to her. Just ... really? And that comment on Naruto's hand ... just.

There are just so many problems with Hinata's character, it's hard to concieve.
I remember what I said once before about the Big 3 to one of my NS friends a while back and explained to her why NaruSaku is the most genuine/sincere relationship. In SasuSaku, Sakura often paid no regard to Sasuke's feelings and instead focused more highly on what
she wants. She forced her affection on him so much, Sasuke couldn't actually treat her like a "friend". He couldn't hang out with her normally 'cause she would never treat him normally. Sakura never truly tried to be his friend, all she cared about was being his girlfriend. Of course she genuinely loved him and really cared for him but it doesn't change the fact her love was selfish. We often compare Sakura's love for Sasuke to Hinata's feelings for Naruto. Why, you ask? They're almost identical, except for Sakura's feelings being more genuine because she interacted with him more. Sakura
always expected something from Sasuke, even though she loved him.
Hinata ... she's the same. Only she never grew out of this phase, she's still a Naruto fangirl. Hinata desired so badly to have Naruto acknowledge her and recognize her, that's all she wanted. The difference was she was too shy to force her feelings on him, not until the War Arc. Hinata wants to feel better about herself, she wants to feel important and self-assured. She almost demands that Naruto give her what she wishes, it's what she strives for. This is also why I don't like Hinata. Sure, she wants to protect him but she never actually tries very had to see his inner conflicts and be there for him. All she cares for is for him to notice her. Hinata expects so much from Naruto, she demands it, when it's really not her place to expect anything. She thinks more about herself and how everything affects her than his own feelings. The fact that she sort of seems to be forcing her affection on him now without any consideration that he might not actually like her like that, it's like Part 1 SasuSaku 2.0 all over again. And frankly, just as facepalm-worthy and annoying. Maybe even more so, given how Sakura is already growing out of this while Hinata, at the age of sixteen, is still the same fangirl.
Naruto is different. Back in Early Part 1, he was the same as them. He had no trouble forcing his feelings on Sakura, the Bench Scene showed that. However, as time past, that gradually changed. He's able to be her friend and treat her so, even though he really loves her. He never forces his feelings on Sakura in Late Part 1/Part 2, that's long since past. Naruto doesn't expect anything from her anymore, not like Sakura & Hinata. Naruto loves her to love her, he wants her to come around but he's not expecting it. He feels like he doesn't deserve her because he failed the promise and it makes him sad. Sakura has never expected anything from Naruto either, she just wants to be there for him and redeem her past transgressions towards him. Not because she wants him to see her change, but because she cares. She's not doing it for acknowledgement or whatever, not like she did with Sasuke. Sakura even feels like she doesn't deserve his love, he's too good of a person. Hinata is the opposite, she doesn't feel undeserving. I kind of don't get that really, when she saw Naruto's suffering as a child and didn't do anything to help. The more I point this out, the more selfish I realize that is. She admires his confidence and wants to be like him yet did nothing to be his friend when he had no one and she could have. This is what NaruHina fans continuously praise Hinata for. :/ Sakura may have hated him once but at least she makes it up by supporting him actively instead of passively. She's a different person than she was, that's for sure.
Thank you for the compliments to my last post, guys.
