Old habits die hard. Pay close attention to the background scenery of all the panels that Naruto appears in. Sometimes you can see her peeking out at him from behind a tree trunk or rock.

 

This Gaiden happens in the time span of less than a day.

 

Based on last chapter Salad is over her family crisis, because her parents...actually exchanged words between each other after 12 years of separation.

 

They still have not told why Sasuke left, still have not explained why Sasuke couldn't send a lousy text or hawk message in 12 years, and still have not explained why there are no medical records of Salad.

 

But hey SS finally spoke without Sasuke ridiculing Sakura, so it's even!

 

This pairing is garbage and this series is just a joke, because everything is either gonna be ignored or excused away with BS.

He didn't send any hawks or text messages because he couldn't justify spending 12 years keeping an eye on "a danger more serious than Kaguya" that turned out to be a third-rate Danzo rip-off traveling with a Minion reject from Despicable Me and a bunch of clones who are so weak that an untrained 12-year-old girl can beat the piss out of all of them single handed.

You Know  what? I had a bit of a revelation this AM. This gaiden has effectively rendered Naruto irrelevant in his own manga.

 

think on it. Has any thing Naruto done in the past 9 chapters been anything that another character couldn't have done? No it hasn't. hes been reduced to an SS cheerleader. Remove him from the gaiden and it doesn't skip a beat.

 

Hes been paired with Hinata a character so irrelevant that even as the hokages wife shes been reduced to a single panel in what amounts to a 900 or so panels manga (that's 10 chapters 18 pages a chapter a4-5 panels per page give or take a few).

 

We've literally seen Naruto reduced to a pouty selfish third wheel in this story. A third wheel that looks half the time confused like he should be beating Sasuke within an inch of his life and taking Sakura off to be married , and half like hes cheering Sasuke and Sakura on in spite of any and all troubles.

The only thing he has really done is lead Salad to Sasuke and cheered her up anytime she was down while acting as a father figure (but that should be Sasuke's job not Naruto's). You're right about the third wheel thing thought. He has little baring on the plot.

Why do you think people don't care about if they are ship obsessed (or just picking it apart because of fascination). Nothing matters and Nothing has any impact. Think about do you really think anything is this gaiden is going to effect the Bolt movie? Side note do you really think Salad is going to have that much of an effect/impact in the Bolt movie? It just filler to milk the fans while they wait for the movie like the novels.

But aren't the only people that care about him do it because they are nH fans and he's nH's son therefore proving they have won? There is no way this is going to win anyone over anyone who wasn't going to see the movie anyways. Anyone can see this and realize they are desperate for people to see this movie. They are literally making Bolt wear the past to try to make the fans feel nostalgic to convince them to see this movie. This is pathetic. What does Japanese fans think of this there is no way anyone is fawning over this.

Just that up until the last month or so, I was up to date on movie news, I was following Gaiden despite my claims that I wouldn't, I was active on the boards. Lately, I just don't have the energy/desire? And I think a lot has to do with the fact that Gaiden is even worse than I expected.

I don't know. I wish I could understand them, I really do.

I get the fact that they were high as a kite when they did this. But no logical explanation can explain all of this. None. Nothing.

I know that people are already going to see the movie I'm say is "Do they really think the fact that Bolt's is now wearing Sasuke headband and Naruto's jacket from part 1 is really going to convince anyone who was already not going to see the movie to watch it?"

Honestly I don't keep up with Naruto new other than reading the gaiden. The only reason I even heard about the rumors that the editors are most likely cracking down on kishi is  because someone linked something that lead to me find someone talking about it.
