Maybe I'm missing something... but did we even learn why the Uchiha weren't in the village during Kurama's attack? I know the assumption in the manga was they were plotting a coup, but did we ever see the reason or was that it?

I don't think so. Though it also was Obito setting them up for death, as part of Madara's desire for revenge against them for their "betrayal" of him when they chose to side with Hashirama. It's kinda sad we never knew. Especially too since we also never got to know if Madara really just killed the dying Izuna and took his Sharingan by force, since I think he did, given he was so consumed by the Curse of Hatred that he would find Izuna weak for wanting to accept peace with the Senju then.

Not so much a plot hole I guess but a plot gap that we're just suppose to accept... more things to add to the list of unresolved stories because of this ending

If I could I would go back in time to make sure Kishi never made NH happen same with SS oh well not much we can do I still hate the ending so much and I just hope that one Day Kishi will see how much of a bad ending this really is and comes out to say it at least that way we can feel better, even if its only a little.
What I like to know is why many think that everyone is in IT????

After kushina parallel
came out sakura's sketch for the movie,her hair looked entirely like kushina,in 700 her hair with clips and all is ditto kushina.Is kishi exacting revenge on naruto,entire manga humiliated him and destroyed him but this,the girl he loved,the girl who looked exactly like his mother was taken away from him and given to his rival,kishi kittented on kushina and to make it even more cruel he made her hair exactly like kushina in the epilogue,that there was even more cruel.I couldn't believe my eyes that such kind of cruelty existed.
Kishi could atleast change sakura's hairstyle in the epilogue,even at the final moment.
