Can anyone shed some light when it comes to japanese honorifics? It's mostly to do with the usage of Chan and Kun. I dont fully understand what they imply...
kun = young males, or a close friend. Not used when talking to someone of higher status.
chan = kind of a childish and cute, used for girls mostly
san = gender neutral, they use it when talking to a person with similar or a little higher status, and with respect.
sama = respectful honorific when talking to a person of higher status, like "Hokage-sama"
I think this is it.. XD It's all about status, haha.
