I can't picture Hinata as Hyuga leader the way she is now either. She's still too Naruto-obsessed. A part of me is hoping Hinata gets a reality check when she gets out of IT, but I doubt it since she looks so sad on the movie poster. I see her moping over Naruto because he's with Sakura and already the image is cringeworthy.

 

Who knows. Maybe she does mature in The Last and is somehow a great Hyuga leader. I guess that would be the magic of a timeskip.

If there wasn't a canon pairing in the epilogue they wouldn't bother making one in the movie. On top of it a timeline before the epilogue since they would deliberately go against canon.

She's the heir to the clan so yeah I would fully expect her to be shown as its leader in the epilogue.

Sort of possible that the role or lines will be short, but we don't know. I do wonder if the script is already read for lead roles or many others in general.

All konoha 11 characters will show up so I find irony at the surprise of playing a role as a VA for one of those characters.

I don't think she's SO Naruto obsessed, how many other characters said they want to walk with him and be by his side? I do think she needs a bit of reality check. The IT will probably serve as that since they'll wake up and realize their dreams weren't real. In the poster she's not wearing her ninja clothes, it looks like the kimono's that her clan wears. Plus this movie is 3 years into the future, plenty of time for Hinata to grow. Especially after Neji's death, she might change the clan for the better. Judging from the poster, maybe Hinata will guide her clan (to fight) during the moon disaster? Maybe that's why she's praying and looks sad? For the safe return of the other clan members. Kinda weird that she's not wearing her ninja clothes but her Hyuga kimono, so it's only safe to asume she took over as clan leader.

Plus it doesn't really make sense for her to be sad and praying about anything positively romantic... if Naruto reciprocated her feelings it would make more sense for her to be happy and praying IMO.

exactly konan when hinata wakes up shes gonna realize she will never be with naruto harsh to say but thats the reality of it

Yeah i think that kishi is going to use the IT as a shortcut to give these characters (particularly Hinata) development and growth and im just praying that hinata wakes up and focuses on her clan (instead of naruto)

 

I agree i think the fact that she looks so sad is just another hint that naruto is not reciprocating her feelings. Heck he could even be engaged with a certain pink haired beauty for all we know.

I'm kinda scared when NaruSaku becomes canon ... I'll be so, so happy but what it will do the Naruto fandom. It'd be like a set of nuclear nukes being set off and aimed at the fandom all once, creating a sh*tstorm that sets the entire internet on fire while Kishi sits behind his desk and smiles.

Im just gonna sit back eat some popcorn and watch the end of the war unfold. I cant wait i bet there will be some threats and a bunch of hate mail from the other shippers lol
