It just gets me angry that Jiraiya Neji Inoichi Shikaku etc all die for protecting the village and loved ones but the one character who deserves to die more than anyone in the series gets a free pass and a happy ending with the heroine.
What kind of message is Kikitten trying to give with that? That no matter how hard you try..the girl you love will always shun you like you don't exist? That girls will always love the bad boy even if he tries to kill her? That murderers and criminals should be forgiven no matter what they do and be allowed back into the village he threatened to destroy?
Kishimoto's story has no poetic justice..no morals...

Whoa, glad to see someone thinks the same as me. Actually I'll even go as far as to say that the whole brotherly relationship with Naruto and Sasuke was so forced. Like of course they all cared for each other and went through hardships but the amount of determination they had to retrieve Sasuke back was kind of...what? Like I never felt that they bonded on common grounds until Naruto vs. Sasuke. I felt like the person who had the most realistic response to Sasuke's leave was Kakashi. He understood that friendships don't always last.  

Let's compare Hunter x Hunter's Killua and Gon (no spoilers). From the moment they meet you feel a strong, valuable friendship, and Killua develops himself from Gon. In a way he idolized him into something he wasn't. And then later on in the series Killua realizes that Gon is just as bad as he himself was from before. Now that's finding yourself through somebody! 

 

But as for Naruto and Sasuke, all I saw was simple rivalry, even when they were fighting for their lives. And then everything became about Sasuke. Everything.

Pretty much this. 

There was no logical reason for Naruto to be so self sacrificing for Sasuke EXCEPT because of Sakura. That made sense, the kitten fest afterwards did not.

Unless Naruto wanted the sauce for himself

Like I said: The concept of love in Naruto's world is worse than reality.

That's how he destroyed the cycle of hatred. By forgiving criminals the world can be safe. How come I never realized it before

If Kishimoto didn't want to kill off Sasuke then at least don't give him a happy ending--to show that this is what happens when you're consumed by hatred and revenge and try to murder your friends. Naruto and Sakura's devotion to him is unreal and disgusting. If they really loved him they would've put him down or thrown him in jail. Sakura had the right idea but Naruto had to kitten it up (along with Kishimoto).
This story sucks so bad

Agreed hands down, it's one of the huge problems with the story. Sasuke was the villain, he was the bad guy, Kishimoto never kept that in mind though.
