Some random thoughts/annoyances on my mind this morning (yes, I'm still thinking about this garbage!)
1: Why was Naruto's development as a ninja so terrible? We never see him really develop any cool elemental jutsu. He never learns hirashin. It was pretty much variation on variation of the rasengan.
2: Why didn't we ever see Sakura's skill with genjutsu? Moreover, do we ever really see genjutsu used effectively in combat?
3: Does anyone else feel like Kishi started the manga out with a pretty interest and complex concept of chakra and different jutsu and whatnot, only to incorporate less and less of those neat concepts?
I think we all agree from the end results that it could have been better handled. Although, this isn't exactly uncommon. Plenty of stories start out with great concepts, but few actually utilize them to their greatest potential.

I still believe that Bolt is Naruto and Sakura's son. Also that Sadara is their daughter or they adopted from Sasuke because Karin died or something.
We would ALL like that, but Bolt is still a lame name and most of us here have accepted that Kishimoto goofed.

Pls shame me for procrastinating.

The people in chatte's theory thread still have hope. I want to believe kish isnt this dumb/a sell out unless he was forced.

The advantage of short story or rather not too long like SJ big series because your quality can be tested if you can't stay passion for your work.

Well I asked if Naruto used it in 700. When he got to Bolt on Hokage mountain.
Somehow even with this carapy ending. I really want to know if Naruto ever learned FTG! ![]()

Bolt said that Naruto used shunshin no jutsu, so it's not the FTG, I think.
Edit:
Hiraishin=The Flying Thunder God Technique is a technique created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, which allows the user to transport themselves to a given marked location instantaneously.
Shunshin=The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination.

I can't help but imagine how different things would be if Sakura accepted she was rejected after her confession in Part 1 and moved on. In fact, now that the story is over I can't help but think of how vastly her character could be different from what we got. I think we all agree on how Kishimoto crapped on her character, because of keeping feelings that didn't make sense to keep for such a long time. No one would disagree that her lingering feelings for Sasuke were a detriment to her character.
Sword Art Online.
Hey, don't diss on Sword Art. I actually like it. You want a true MMO game setting anime, look to Log Horizon. You want an MMO game-based setting romance, SAO. It's as simple as that.

Yeah! It was Shunshin. FTG would've been the cherry on the cake...but...seeing what happened...nothing does amaze me...Bolt said that Naruto used shunshin no jutsu, so it's not the FTG, I think.

I tried to like Log Horizon, but the problem with that show are in complete contrast to sword art online's. Too much information dumping and too much focus on other characters besides the main ones. Around the 10th or 11th episode, it began to get as boring as hell. The kid characters RUINED LH for me.

He would have gotten it if the logic was still behind him. Sadly, anything cool or realistic can't work.Yeah! It was Shunshin. FTG would've been the cherry on the cake...but...seeing what happened...nothing does amaze me...

I have to agree with much of this. Part 1 was damn near perfect, but it's only flaw was the brother's concept that came out of nowhere during Naruto's fight with Sasuke. I get that their friends, but the whole brothers thing just wasn't developed. Then Naruto spends the entirety of part 2 obsessing over him. For a while, I had interpreted this as the depths of his love for Sakura, but Kishi (or the editors) shut that theory down when they had Naruto uncharacteristically say that he was Sasuke mainly for himself. Should've known something was wrong right there. Decrease on Sasuke on this manga and we could've gone to more interesting places, IMO. In Berserk, Griffith is Guts goal and rival, but the two rarely interact.
Whoa, glad to see someone thinks the same as me. Actually I'll even go as far as to say that the whole brotherly relationship with Naruto and Sasuke was so forced. Like of course they all cared for each other and went through hardships but the amount of determination they had to retrieve Sasuke back was kind of...what? Like I never felt that they bonded on common grounds until Naruto vs. Sasuke. I felt like the person who had the most realistic response to Sasuke's leave was Kakashi. He understood that friendships don't always last.
Let's compare Hunter x Hunter's Killua and Gon (no spoilers). From the moment they meet you feel a strong, valuable friendship, and Killua develops himself from Gon. In a way he idolized him into something he wasn't. And then later on in the series Killua realizes that Gon is just as bad as he himself was from before. Now that's finding yourself through somebody!
But as for Naruto and Sasuke, all I saw was simple rivalry, even when they were fighting for their lives. And then everything became about Sasuke. Everything.
