Well if they are fighting the Devils when the devils have a physical form thats be a different story, so I'll wait and see.

Well interesting New developments

 

Chapter 265

Noelle and Co. that were in the Heart Kingdom are gonna train with the Elves. And the Elves built a new village hidden in the Heart Kingdom. Lastly Apparently Tetia was actually alive with another twin child to the one that Possessed Yuno and they had a bloodline that survives to the present day due to Secre finding her still consious and sealed the the most severe of her injuries before She flew off to set the plot in motion against Zagred/ the Word Soul Devil but couldn't check on Tetia afterwards.

Can I admit something, guys? Right now... I don't trust Nacht. Until he proves me otherwise, I'm worried he's just gonna be one of those characters who seems to want to help, then BAM!! Doublecross!

So, Asta's Devil is acquainted with Asta's mother and was quite possibly summoned by her. For what reason, we'll just have to wait and see.

*side note* while I'm happy Tabata is making good on his word to make Noelle another driving force in the story I miss seeing her with Asta and her cute reactions when being with her "love"    And on that topic, anyone feel that Charlotte bumped to third place in the latest poll because of the heavys shipping with Yami? If so it is VERY IRONIC she hates being shipping fodder/neutral damsel in distress but what fans are loving her for her love life

I think it's because of how cute Charlotte is when it comes to her attraction to Yami, not being her love life only. I imagine too that Char being as badass as she is besides being very cute when she is goofy is one of the reasons she shot up in the polls, especially in that one chapter sometime after Zagred, the Kotodama Devil, was defeated. :-)

We got some backstory on Ribe, Asta's Anti-Magic Devil, and it would seem he's a lot like Asta. Born without mana, then came to the human world, found by Lichita (who totally has to be Asta's mom), raised and loved by her, then the Supreme Devil Lucifero tried to take Ribe back, and killed Lichita,with her sealing Ribe in the five-leaf clover grimoire Asta would gain back in Chapter 1, and now he wants payback against all other Devils.

  Yeah, it confirmed what I've been suspecting about the AMD for a while now.  I figured that he was probably of much as a loser as Asta in the demon world based on how he acted towards Zagred and what Lucifero said about him in past chapters.  The only questions left now are: Why did Lichita leave Asta at an orphanage? What happened to her husband/lover? Where did she get the 5-leaf grimoire? How did she gain the ability to absorb people's mana (was she cursed like Henry was)? How did Asta ultimately get the 5-leaf grimoire? And how did Dante end up with Lucifero if he was sealed inside of Lichita's body?  This chapter answers some questions but leaves several more.  At least it nicks some of the more dubious theories like Ribe being Asta's father or Yuno and Asta being actual brothers. Also, I don't think Ribe is the Devil's real name; I believe that's a nickname that Lichita came up with for him.

Oh yeah I really hope that it is true that she is Asta's mother. The implications are pretty blatant though since she has a brief flashback giving up her child in an orphanage

but why wasn't she worried about Ribe being affected the same way? Ribe is exactly like Asta, yet experienced no ill-effects from being in her presence.

Perhaps she did it because of his being human and Ribe being a Devil? I dunno. I hope we get more backstory soon!

I think it was mentioned that Devils don't have Life energy for her to take. Ribe also doesn't have mana either so that's why he could stay with Lichita no problem

Seeing Asta going to town on Liebe by using everything that he's gained through training and battle experience is wonderful.

It also shows the difference in how Asta is fighting since he's not doing this alone like Liebe is. And while it's easy to see why Liebe would be doing it alone, it's ironic how he may get stronger working side by side with Asta. Considering how he knew Asta's mom.

I do too, Phantom. We got some obvious proof she's his mom, but at the same time, no official confirmation from the story itself yet. And after this, if Liebe begins to work with Asta as an equal, I wonder what it will do for Asta with his Black Asta mode. Since I can see Asta reaching out to Liebe somehow. he's been able to do it before with his tenacity and compassion, like with Mars, as well as being able to inspire people who are on his own squad like Noelle, Magna, and Luck.
