Erina is really terrifying, so someting must have happened between them in her younger life.

 

I could have been a conflict, that got him out of the academy. But Jouchiro visited it sometime, didn't he? It could be one of them, or even both of them! Also we know that Erina's guardian is her Grandfather, when Hisako asked that man.

 

Could be. I'm sure if he gets to be the director, that he only wants all the good ones in the school. And that's not how it should be!!!

Yeah exactly , It was mentioned that he trained Erina and her "God Tongue" and made her person she is today , so maybe it was some rigorous  training and immoral/unethical  to the point of ruining her childhood and putting such fears in her . 

 

Yeah he did (maybe he was allowed to bc he wasn't the one at fault ) and it might be possible , but this is just an assumption and the timeline might be a slight problem since its know that the event is before the kids are born right !? And we already know that Azami trained Erina as well as Jouchiro (cooking/training her !?) so that might be a problem . But I have a hunch that they're somehow connected to all of this  .

 

I don't get it , are you agreeing with his plan !? .

Erina was so fragile but she was so cute and shows a different side of her . That side is also perfect for Souma too  . I read this in another thread and there was a post I very much agreed with . "That's certainly the first impression it gives that he did nothing but looking at the panels carefully I'm not so sure that's the case  . Soma perceived that something was wrong, he just didn't know what. He perceived that Azami was the source of the problem, played dumb and drove him off by trying to sit next to him.  You can say he acted in his own Goofy Soma way on purpose but it worked perfectly overall  .

 

Hell Yeah !!! The art was amazing !!! She was easily best drawn in this chapter  .

She is isn't she, I've been so conflicted since the spoilers came out, she made such a kitten move, while looking so hot.

 

Well I can sort of understand why Rindou voted the way she did, she's the type that will let a fox free in a chickens den to keep herself entertained. the Number Nine seat is also not surprising because he's a shrewed person, though considering how much Erina's father was insulting the clients, it could backfire on him if he loses his contacts. Number five looks like a Samurai who values loyalty so he's a surprise. Number four seems to be a baker, which you'd think would not be considered gourmet enough for Nakira's father...and numer one, again is a surprise, you'd think he'd be intimidated by Nakira's father and would not want to have anything to do with him.

 

Oh well we will hopefully find out their reasons soon enough.

 

The chapter was allot more brutal than the spoilers, where in the spoilers it appeared that there might be a chance for them to counter within the next 24 hours but the chapter appears the decision is more final.

 

This makes the history potentially really interesting, specially Jouchirou's time at the academy, could it be he went against Erina's father a he knew of his plans, and planned to stop him, but in the end lost and ended up leaving? Is that why he was hired as a chef at Nakira's place, as her grandfather felt he would be the only one who could fix the damage Erina's father caused on her being?

 

It's hard to believe this is a cooking battle manga, who would think it would be so intense.

Hmmmmm........This is something similar to my thoughts/theory  yours one could also be very much possible nice thinking there . Though I'm not so sure that Saiba lost against him since it seems they were  both expelled ( though its only an assumption that Azima didn't graduated ) and the timeline for the events might be a problem so who knows really . But I'm 100% sure they have some connection/conflict to the events of their leaving and abandoning the academy and most importantly Erina's origins and connection with Jouchirou and it will also heavily involve Soma too  .

 

So true !!! Its the best thing I've read so far after Gintama of course its truly amazing , I'm enjoying this so much and can't wait for the next chapter .  .

But It all becomes clear in episodes 2 & 3 or chap 1 & 2 the ship is set right then and there , its just only the matter of the execution now . They really connected Souma's father words to him about finding a woman and later Souma telling Erina that he'll cook for her until she finally recognize/accepts his cooking and call it delicious I liked that "hidden" message very much .

Sure no problem take your time . Although I think I have grasp of what you mean but not the full picture  but don't worry  finsih Gintama first that's always a priority .

Rindou look gorgeous in that panel though, for real. Prob slaying tons of menhearts (and womenhearts) with that sexy panel of hers.
