I don't see how in any way her character can be redeemed. She's at the bottom right now. No one in this manga has looked so needy and pathetic. To make things worse, she's most likely gonna end up with Sasuke still. I think that's when I'll move from being appalled at her to just flat out disliking the character.

I disagree. Naruto has spent majority of this series chasing Sasuke and begging for his return. So yes, while Sakura has looked needy and pathetic, Naruto has definitely outshined her in that regard. He's a big reason why Sasuke is still relevant.

 

 

Naruto has a reason. He's understood Sasuke more than Sakura has and he's literally his soul brother. What excuse does Sakura have? Three murder attempts, constant blows at her self-esteem and she's still begging him to love her. Pathetic.

Screw it. I have supported Sakura for a long time and I will conintue too for the last 7 chapters. This chapter sucked yes, but why give up hope now after all this time. Sakura will change.

At this point...I...I really feel that...Sasuke controls the show and not the one after whom the series is named....Today, I really understood what Kishi meant when he made Sai say "She loves him so much that she can't bear to see him drop so low and hence wants to kill him!" I feel the same.....I am reading the manga just to see its conclusion....nothing that happens now would surprise me.....I don't want the series to fall in my eyes and hence...I'd just be going with the flow. I am still on the ship and I still love Sakura for one :)

I think people need to realize, its not a matter of the raws or translations we need to go by, we need to see what actually happens with and beyond each event as we get them.

 

No matter how its cut, looking at it either today from the past/present tense or the stuff from chapters like 675 of it decreased or increased, can anyone honestly conclude that either makes sense for SS? No they dont, as a whole, they don't even work for the story.

 

No matter what tense is correct or not, you shouldn't go by just that. If it comes with an event where, say Sakura turns to realize she likes naruto, would those tenses make a difference then? No they wouldn't.

 

Looking back at 675, did it make a difference if Sakuras love had decreased or not? No, Sasuke still doesn't love her and he perfectly summed up the reasons of why does SS even exist and have supports for it still? It doesn't matter how it was cut, it was still a dead flawed antagonism love on Sakura's part.

 

Either way, the feeling being different still made more sense as viewing it as decreased, I mean how could you love someone more than originally, wouldnt this run into conflicts elsewhere when Kakahsi said it was a different feeling? This isn't the first time there has been some confusion but the end result is still the same no matter how you cut it.

 

Those feelings are different, but anyway you cut it, look at this with story logic, SS doesn't work for it in anyway. In this case, it was decreased or started to decrease and this is more or less the notion of it, we had a sign of this love declining way back in 635, so even with this being that pinnicle moment where she tried to stop him but couldnt do anything, are people still honestly going out of their way to think that everything is just done or ended or solved in a moment?

 

This is certainly a different outcome from 685 a few weeks back, if anything where SS fans tried to view that event as Sakura and Sasuke confirmed, this just completely blew back in their faces like  Elmer fudds rifle does everytime bugs sticks his finger in the barrel. It made everything worse.

 

Maybe you should look at it like this, if this scene was menat to show that Sasuke doesn't care for Sakura, that her love has been this antagonism event on her, do you honestly think kishi would then serve to keep it on her in the end for the same end result for what we just saw here? No, I doubt it. If anything, I only see an outcome from this event where she has a different outlook and is impacted and either comes to terms with something or reflects upon herself, either on her own or from the input of others. The end result I get from this is that she won't be in love with Sasuke in the end after all this. If part of seeing she couldnt do anything here was the same result, perhaps she would see where she does make an difference with someone else aka naruto.

 

My point is, you need to follow what occurs, not just the raws and translations from either the online groups or viz, we need to see what actually happens and given how viz screwed up in the kushina foreshadow department, we saw 631 as the action that proved sakura was like kushina was the end result. For this chapter today, if anything, it proved that the stuff with Sasuke, no matter how its cut, would be prone to decreasing or ending, it just wouldnt fit for the story or her character, like this more or less is the dead sign of SS and no matter how much it comes back its just like since the land of iron, not a good thing, just antagonism upon sakura.

 

Take your view on anything you see, translations here or there, more or less accurate, etc etc. To me I still take mangapandas 675 for it decreasing because, the whole deal of the decreased line for one, means that yes, its a change, its not the same love, that sakura wants to save him from darkness, that the love could be declining and if it starts now, well this still makes sense, that all in all she wanted to still help him anyway she could, in the end it makes sense if she likes sasuke but not loving him.

 

For today, its also just due to the fact, even as sasuke said, he doesn't love sakura, this whole deal with SS, just doesn't fit for the story, this entire time Sakura has been changing in regards to both naruto and sasuke and for that love to be prone to decreasing, it still just makes more sense that things may go along this line in time rather than it remaining the same. Just as sakura couldnt come to love naruto instantly she couldnt get over sasuke all at once, so perhaps this could be the event that does it and starts a shift for her? Maybe this is just thinking too much, but I also just take this in tandem with the preexisting NS stuff that is still lurking around.

 

Otherwise if we have the event in which she doesn't change and still has this same menality upon sasuke, well I won't hate Sakura, but this wouldnt solve anything and would just be static forgone and pointless stagnation upon her character that I would feel did her no justice. I would enjoy seeing her overcome this antagonism and furthermore come to have learned something about love after all this, not just idealism which she still otherwise had.

 

But to me, its not about the raws, or translations, its about the events more than anything and how they play out.

 

To me for now, this could just be the start of some impact upon her and it may turn into something thats otherwise ideal for us, I still see the NS stuff around and otherwise, its just logical at this point that SS could decline to nothingness after this chapter and after what sasuke said and did. This chapter just proved to me SS doesn't work and perfectly described why is has no purpose, acceptability, reason, or importance after all this. And yet with that NS still still around, this could be the start of events that brings a gradual shift and well just may be what we want.

 

But again, its not the raws, its the events and the actions too. The fact Naruto is still set on the promise says a lot more to me than some people realize, when i see the promise, I am reminded of narutos stuff from 457 with why he couldnt confess, if anything maybe this decline of SS could go in hand with the NS stuff around and serve as a means to help bring NS to canon? You never know.

 

But as I said, either this is the point Sakura gets some development and moves beyond this idealism love or she gets stagnated development for something so antagonistic, it leaves a question for kishi that exactly what was he trying to portray for a love subplot, even after this chapter which ultimately just basically said SS makes no sense and has no purpose?

 

In anycase, I don't believe this will happen simply because she is still changing in regards to both naruto and sasuke and we have not gotten that end result of just how does she feel about naruto and nor has naruto gotten his resolution with her. NS still has plenty of elements around and hints lingering for it, and as long as these things exist, nothing has impacted or brought it down, its still got a stronger presence than SS at this point that is sure, and as long as Hinata is out of the picture, theres no reason to consider her important just because she loves naruto. The fact is, all the actions, regardless of dialogue, to me and many others they still point to NS as the end game for all manner of logical reasons, character and story structure wise

 

As I said before, you shouldnt be dependent on raws or translations, you need to see the actions as they come and what happened today is just potentially the start of something else.

I agree. But Sakura has actually contemplated putting Sasuke down. Naruto hyperventilated just at the thought of Sasuke. Who's worse? The answer is obvious.
