I don't think he promise about character arc, but more on character developement, action scene, and panel time.
Kakashi become hokage is kishi way to move kakashi from the plot.

Well Kishi never said arc per se... He just said "I'm gonna write about Kakashi and Sakura, afterwards. I can't say but a big surprise will happen to Kakashi"...

The only time I enjoyed seeing mecha forms was during the fight against Obito with the 6 tails and Madara vs Gokage. Other than that I find the oversize chakra suits to be really boring.

Don't count out a Sakura arc just yet. Didn't Kishi say that he wanted to give Sakura her own fight or something to that effect? Of course, this is just hearsay. 

 

As much as I would love a Sakura arc, I won't pin any hope on it. I tend to take a lot of stuff Kishimoto says in interviews with a grain of salt anyway -- he also said Sakura "slipped his mind", or something to that effect, which makes me think he doesn't have much in mind for her at all. And probably explains why she was practically a background character for a good chunk of the war arc.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that he'll make good on it, anyway, though. Anything can still happen.

Havent posted here for a while but after reading this chapter and seeing the Naruto vs Sasuke upcoming i've been looking forward to, i had to return =)

That part is exactly taken after the old interview where he said Kakashi is after and then Sakura and the only part that is changed is that Sakura slipped his mind, whereas the Kakashi part is the same. I never trusted that interview, tbh...it has same questions as the one in 2010 yet the only changed part is the Sakura one...
