Well, my post that Atheck was referring to was about Hinata.
I get what you're saying, but it's been my experience that logic and manga evidence has little to do with a successful argument if the other side is determined not to see the point or is otherwise incapable of doing so. It's the same in every fandom; diametrically opposed camps argue until they're blue in the face and no one ever changes their minds.
I never did understand that viewpoint -- how they could think that although he was obviously THRILLED to hear Sakura say she loved him, a minute later he would suddenly hate her? He said he hated people who lied to themselves. But was he ever convinced that she had lied to him?
All evidence points to the fact that after it was all over -- Sakura's defense and Sai's explanation -- Naruto believed she was being honest, at least on some level, or at least dishonest for reasons he later accepted.
Sakura asked him to "just say so" if he didn't like her and he didn't deny it, and #631 proves that he still wants her.
So what happened to all that hate again? Oh, that's right... he never hated her, he's always loved her. It's easy to confuse the two, I guess.
Oh I know.
I was just saying though. XD
Anyway, this is pretty much why I choose not to get into a serious debate with an opposing ship at this point. I may comment on some things but ultimately, no matter how much one gives canon information, throws outs logical arguments, and such, they'll still let it roll into one ear and out of the other. At least with the NS fandom from what I've seen. we acknowledge the relationship between SS, and NH. There's no need to knock it, but another thing about a lot of us is that we're not blind to what goes on in the manga. An example.
Naruto's feelings for Hinata....
Now, I personally would acknowledge this if it were shown in the mange but each moment with them is an obvious Hinata>Naruto moment romantically, and with Naruto, it's ALWAYS ambiguous. Kishi doesn't even skim the surface when it comes to his feelings for Hinata. Sure, he may like her, but never once, after EVERYTHING she has done has it been shown that he has feelings for her.
When it comes to the NH fandom, they can never show us where it's shown...
I've actually asked a couple of NH fans where it was shown where Naruto had shown any romantic interest in Hinata, and their response was, "Where has Naruto shown any romantic interest in Sakura outside of Chapter 3"...
Dumbest response EVER.
For the most part, when it comes to Naruto>Sakura, I'd be nice to push his feelings for her like he pushes Hinata's desire to walk next to Naruto forever, or Sakura's desire to not be a hinderance to her team. I can understand why he wouldn't push it seriously considering this is a Shounen, and he's built up too many ships. He mixes the NS moments with a bit of comedy but that in no way takes away from the seriousness of the scene. But yeah, what I want to see is Naruto fight for Sakura. I want to see this moreso than I want to see Sakura doing it considering he's the one who has had feelings for her since the very beginning of the series. I want to see Sakura see that Naruto was the one for her all along. From the moment he complimented her forehead, and looked into her heart. I don't think is asking for much. LOL
When it comes to NS, there's not an ounce of doubt in me. This pairing is it. Their build up in their relationship has been one of the most awesome parts of this series for me. Sakura went from disliking Naruto, to viewing him as someone of great importance. Someone who she could possibly love. Someone who has been there through it all. No one understands her better, and the same goes for Naruto. Sakura knows him like no other and they're perfect for one another. Definitely one of the most amazing couples in any Shounen manga for me personally.
LOL Sorry for ramblingggggg.
