I think regarding this New Era Project that it could be one of three things.

• a continuation of the manga either with older naruto or his kid.
• a continuation of the anime which means a bunch of filler (like GT)
• A sequence of movies similar to whats happening with the DBZ movies

Spot on.
All of it has possibilities. I think the continuation truly depend on what is the ending or epilogue show. If we see naruto become hokage and his family, I doubt that no. 1 will happen.
The same thing about naruto son sequel with out change the title of manga.

So I think 2 or 3 is more likely to happen.

Sadly I don't think its the first one. Kishi has plans for a new manga but it won't be Naruto related. Either its the second choice (which I pray its not) or its the third. I would like for Kishi to still be involve with Naruto but only with movies. I really don't want a spin off something AU or OOC, meaning NH and SS became canon.

I'd rather have the original author stay at the forefront of his brainchild since he has the best understanding of its universe, characters, plot, and future. Personally, I don't fancy the prospect of studio pantomime having a free hand to inject their bias into the canon story. The way that their artwork frequently clashes with Kishi's style so intensely at a lot of junctures isn't winning any favours neither.

 

Now the anime does contain a few noteworthy scenes that I wish Kishi would incorporate into the manga like putting greater emphasis on Sakura's CQC skills like when she held herself together against numerous puppets from Sasori (in the manga there's just one panel of her punching the head off a puppet and avoiding a cluster of swords before the fight cuts to Sakura taking the sealing device from Chiyo so they can end it) and when she used Tsūtenkyaku against Tobi in Road to Ninja (concentrating chakra to her legs/feet for an attack has never been seen from Sakura in the manga). But if given a choice, I'll take Kishi's shortcomings over whatever the anime studio has in store for the series.

I'm pretty sure SP would honor the canon if Kishi gave them strict guidelines on what NOT to do with a GT like scenario.

 

Plus, whose to say they won't do a spinoff starring Naruto's son/daughter?

 

What if they set it up so that Kishi could be the boss of what goes on in the Naruto spinoff while still giving him time to do his next manga?

Awww that's so sweet of Hinata. One scarf is enough to over rule all the NS development in the manga, one scarf is enough to kill one pairing and make another one relevant. That's the logic of the NH fandom "screw the 600+ chapters of NS development, the scarf makes NH absolute". Let's remember that we STILL don't know the identity of the mystery girl and still think the whole scarf thing is ridiculous and its over thinking. I swear if the mystery girl is not Hinata I'm going to laugh, its not like the NH fandom is always wrong right?

Just a thought, but Kishi could always go the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus route.

 

If you're confused then don't worry it's actually really simple to explain: 

 

Basically you've got the first series centers around and only Percy, but the second series has Percy however it's not entirely about him. Now think about it in this context, you've got Naruto which obviously focuses on him, and in the second series you've got Naruto it's just not about him. Another good example is Avatar and Legend of Korra which is also pretty self explanatory. 

 

Not saying I'm expecting this to happen, but it is a possibility.

Please let it be the first one, at least that'll be canon. It'll be cool if we get a small continuation with the next gen or something.

I agree i would prefer the first option given that the pairings are resolved which by then it should be

Wasn't the axe merely a physical representation of her brutal strength? It would be redundant to have when she's already capable of erupting the ground with one punch. For the combat sequences, I think the creators should be focusing their attention on diversifying Sakura's overall skillset and offering some taijutsu feats that provide some layers of complexity for her taijutsu.

For the combat sequences, I think the creators should be focusing their attention on diversifying Sakura's overall skillset and offering some taijutsu feats that provide some layers of complexity for her taijutsu.
