I find the idea of Naruto moving on from Sakura and realizing he's not the one to make her happy in a relationship a bit more plausible than it being about a rivalry with Sasuke.

Yes he will, it's literally second pillar of his character other than being Hokage. So as much as stripping from that, he could give his hokage hat to Sasuke with Sakura at once   

This is nonsense, when people start "when Hinata would be option..." and etc, because she clearly wasn't untill 700. Damn, girl faded away just because he talked to her in beggining of part 2, when Sakura and Naruto just reinforced their bonds and become much more closer than they was.

Yeah I get your point, and I agree. I mean it's pretty obvious the Naruto in chapter 700 and the Last hardly resembles, even in his apperance, the Naruto that we knew and loved. There's just no way for me to look at him the same way anymore without thinking about how radically his character has changed in the end. NH fans will probably say that's a part of him growing up and maturing, but I don't see much of that here. All I see is petty jealously and selfishness which are words I would have never associated with Naruto before, but that sums him exactly now and I still cannot believe they'd do that to him.

 

I cannot imagine how bad part 3 is going to be with this new Naruto, as we've already got a taste of what's to come in chapter 700. Of course they could just retcon that and pretend his bad parenting never happened, kinda like the Last did, but that doesn't change the fact that the Naruto today is nothing like the Naruto of the past.

At that point I had already liked Obito, but I think that's when I he became truly one of my favs. I loved him before, but his conviction there was epic.

 

 

That was about the same for me, but in the beginning when his intensions were revealed on why he did those things it did rub me the wrong way. However I didn't necessarily full on hate him, I was pretty neutral about his characters, and it wasn't until we got to the Kakashi vs Obito fight were I slowly started to like him, but the main kicker was probably the TNJ he had with Naruto. One of the other reasons why I loved Obito's character is that he's a character that Naruto would've become had they had a similar experience. So by the time he made the vow of his death I knew, this is gonna be one emotional death I just know it. You know I'm actually glad Obito died because in the end his character didn't get ruined unlike what happened to the other lovable characters in the series. 

 

I never understood the hate Obito got. Yeah he's a terrible person and deserved no redemption for his heinous acts, but he's just a fictional character in a manga so he made for a good villain in my book and I found him regretting what he's done believeable enough. The only problem I had with the way he went out is that he shouldn't have been able to kamui out of death and give his eyes to Kakashi temporarily. I think it would have been better if he had just given his eyes to Kakashi right before he died and that be the end of Obito, but that's really my only complaint.

 

 

The reason why people hated his character was the motivation behind him being evil. They thought it was dumb excuse for him to be doing all of this because of a girl. It didn't really phase me because if a person is so close to you and just saw them get killed right before your eyes then of course that character is going to go crazy. Not sure if this was a good comparison, but think about when Anakin fell to the Dark Side in Revenge of The Sith he ultimately did it for Padme's sake. Obito is basically doing the same thing here,  and when it came to his redemption It was enough for me to believe it. When it came giving Kakashi the mangekyo sharingan I did find it problematic, but that was it nothing more nothing less. I thought his character arc from start to finish was handled well and it's one of the reason why I think he's now my favorite character in the series because his character didn't get wasted in the end.

Sorry but No its not even close . Naruto wasn't gonna be dead bc Pain needed him alive which gives the Konoha's Shinobies time to gather their forces and help Naruto  so there was still hope not everything was lost  .
 
Now with what Hinata did   Naruto would have been dead and destroyed the village  if it weren't for Minato  if anyone should take credit then it Minato and Sakura who was saving and healing all the villagers and immediately ordered to evacuate all the villagers bc she knows what Naruto is capable in that form  . There is reason why Sakura criticized Hinata for her actions that's not how you write someone helping and giving credit to  its the very opposite of it  what Hinata did is pit everyone in danger bc of her selfish act when Naruto told none to interfere bc he knew the danger . Hinata who did little to nothing except rushing without thinking with her brain doesn't deserve any credit   where is Sakura for keeping safe the people and healing them where is here credit !?

Well yeah, Pain obviously wouldn't have killed him. But he would have extracted his beast which would result in his death. And I doubt konoha regrouping and attempting a rescue would do any good since no one else was a match for Pain. Kakashi was dead and Tsunade was seriously incapitated

I'm not a Hinata fan, but I do think she played a part in Pain's defeat.

You have a point, but I think NH fans make too much of a big deal about that scene. I mean it could have been any of Naruto's friends that went out there to save him, and if he thought they died to Pain right before his eyes the same thing would have happen. You could say Hinata's confession to him was an important part of that scene, but as the Last shows he was too stupid to realize what she even meant there so that was made entirely pointless.

I know right, How dare they give the credit to Sakura, who for her actions during the invasion got her promoted to Jounin. She was a Chunnin during the invasion, yet according to the last databook Sakura was a jounin during the war. It's little things like that that keeps you wondering if Kishi really wrote the ending or if he was forced by the evil overlords.

 

Seriously how dumb can people get, Hinata did nothing during the war, her actions almost let to Naruto destroying the the village, and led to his capture from Negato...If Minato never had that fail safe, her actions would have led to the defeat of the ninja world.

I loved the dynamic he created with Naruto. He was the best villain imo, and had a better antagonistic relationship with Naruto than Sasuke. I liked the asspull, but only because it caused all the Sasuke fanboys over on Narutobase to rage hardcore XD it was the beginning of sasuke becoming irrelevant in the Kaguya fight.
