I feel that it could so easily go either way right now, maybe because I don't want to get cocky and say it's a done-deal. We could have a confirmation as obvious as 631 or something much more understated, an implied confirmation that hints at Sakura indirectly, or Kishi could even avoid any mention of Sakura at all and leave the parallel hanging, the last one seems a bit unlikely, with Kishimoto's track record, but I'm not going to completely discount the possibility. I'm willing to sit back and see how it goes.  But any parallel that may happen, I can't see being anything less than in NaruSaku's favor.
 
 
 So, this is like a way of saying NaruSaku is...toast? I admit, I don't find it terribly clever, it's kind of funny actually because it so silly, either anti's are losing their touch, or I'm really just that unaffected by what they come up with.

Yeah i think it will get confirmed. Seeing as how Obito and Naruto can see what the other is thinking about.
Something along the lines of Naruto talking about Sakura thinking of nice memories of her : maybe Sakura healing Naruto in the memories and telling him to be more carefull. Obito seeing this and thinking back to a similar situation between him and Rin.

So they can both see what the other is thinking? If so, then yeah, maybe Obito could see Naruto's memories of Sakura and see just how similar they are to him of Rin's, or how Naruto's feelings are similar to his.

I mean...seriously we have taken at least two major parallels, and we have gotten a lot of smack for it.

 

Ironically, the two parallels we have gotten, MinaKushi was the most painful pill for them to swallow.

We will get bashed for anything that favours our pairings. The whole world was yelling hinata was like kushina but when kishi wrote for minato to compare sakura to kushina we all got bashed to hell and now they're comparing hinata to Minato. I don't possibly know what they would come up with when the obirin parallel is confirmed. They would probably say obirin was a failed pairing and narusaku will be the same.

Hm, I don't feel we have enough to go on to claim Hashi/Mito as a parallel, not yet anyway.

I'm also a bit iffy about this one. It's not fleshed out enough to really be a parallel. The only real similarities are that Yahiko was the Naruto of that group, and apparently had a relationship with Konan, but such minor similarities do not make it a parallel.

The problem is that this is not how it was set up. Tsunade's last thoughts about Jiraiya indicates that she was ready to give him a chance if he ever came back, but it was too late. That is what Sakura has to surpass, she has to realize her feelings for Naruto before it's too late (maybe before his fight with Sasuke?). Jiraiya's dying words where how he wasn't able to get with Tsunade, he never wished he would move on. Naruto will surpass him by getting with Sakura. (I'm in no way saying she is his golden prize, but since this is a story we have to look at it from a writer's perspective, it's pretty simple and direct foreshadowing.) Obito didn't even think of moving on from Rin either, Naruto will surpass him by confessing to Sakura. And so on...

 

If this is supposed to be a NH argument, it says that Naruto has to give up on Sakura and fall in love with Hinata. He hasn't directly stated his goal is to woo her(yes this is a common argument, but we're free to speculate because nothing has been disconfirmed, and isn't it a given that you want to get with the girl you love? Apparently Naruto gave up on the idea of getting with Sakura after her confession, she was out of NH's way by then. They still say she was never a threat.

Lol you guys. I should repeat my question but who here thinks a parallel will be confirmed, or at least mention it. It doesn't need to be that direct (ex I have a girl name Sakura).

 

Yeah, I think it will happen.  It'll be indirect with Naruto mentioning Sakura without giving her name, e.g "I also have someone that I love".  Another possibility is that he mentally compares Sakura to Rin as was already mentioned before.

 

Yeah, I'll play safe and say it may not happen the parallel confirmation. I could be right, I could be wrong. Two days left...

 

The chapter comes out on Tuesday?

I agree with @sushi. Also if naruto were to give up on Sakura wouldn't that go against his character and his ninja way of never giving up? To me it just wouldn't make sense for naruto to give up and move on to hinata. Naruto sets a goal in his head and sticks with it. He doesn't really think about how he is going to get to that goal but he is always confident on getting to it.

Yes.  This is exactly what I believe too.  Romance relationship-wise, all the foreshadowing points to Naruto and Sakura not making the same mistakes as their predecessors.  I know NH fans like to refer to them as parallols (except when they're trying to use them to support their own ship), but it's really pretty easy to connect the dots from the past generations to this one.

 

It's likely to be true for Sasuke as well.  In terms of the two predecessors with whom he has the most in common -- Madara and Orochimaru -- I think he will surpass them in an ultimately positive way as well.  It's because of that foreshadowing that I tend to think he'll end up back in Konoha at the end.  Both Madara and Orochimaru were outcasts from their village because of their actions and choices.  If Sasuke is to surpass them, well....    I may not like it, but I think it's possible.

@ megi: There is one thing I don't understand in your translation. Why are you so sure that it's not just a dattebayo interrupted? Because in the next panel after the datte (だって), Naruto screams Baa! (ばあ!) while Sakura was hitting him. But if you're right, then I see no problem in the datte translation, I understand that there is nothing negative about it. 

And about the interview, it was just Nakamura et Takeuchi. They were giving their impressions about the RTN movie.

 

It is with certainty not dattebayo. There is a pause after ending the sentence. It wouldn't make sense at all. 

まあ、そんな感じだって(…)

meaning that Sakura takes time to register what Naruto said.

It doesn't really make any changes to the translation if it was dattebayo, but it is definitely not.

As for whether Sasuke will be leaving Konoha or staying in Konoha at the end of the manga, I'm going to have to go with Sasuke staying. If he was going to make amends for his crimes, he would be doing it with Naruto at his side. I think it's really important for the story for him to come back to Konoha in the end.

There are logical and nice people who are Hinata fans.  You just don't see them that often, probably because they try to avoid those types of conversations like the plague, out of fear of getting attacked.  I mean someone made a thread on here of an experience being bashed for just liking Sakura.  The fandom has gotten that bad.  I understand why clear headed people mostly stay away.  It's common sense actually, because most of the time you're fighting a losing battle because no one listens to you, and you only end up getting frustrated.  I've had that experience more times than I would have liked.
