The "secret" character is a typical ploy to get garbage merchandise to sell, especially to children. Kids love the suspense and want to keep buying until they get the one they want. Like game cards.

I don't blame you for not wanting to see all that stuff. It would suck for it to be everywhere. I have to believe, though, that eventually it will die down. It seems unlikely that whatever popularity Naruto once had will ultimately survive what's happened to the story and the characters.

I thought maybe the secret white bag was selling left over merchandise from the LAST. I was wondering if I should actually buy several of them just to see what merchandise is in it. If it's the same thing in every bag it's self-explanatory. I'm conflicting between saving money and satisfying my curiosity.

And I don't think it will die down anytime soon. It might not be popular but SJW would keep advertising whenever a new merchandise comes out. May it be the novels or the BOLT series. They are making it difficult for previous fans to forget and forgive about this series with their constant advertising and forceful showing. I don't want to get angry about it anymore but it's difficult when they're forcing me to keep seeing the advertisements.

Don't worry, it'll get more active once part 3 gets started, which i'm sure a lot of us are looking forward to.

I guess that's a double edge for ads handling in Japan. In NYC, it's pretty ghost town for anime/manga fans, unless you find the right area, which is rare. I mean of course you shouldn't overblown your exposure but I would like to see a commercial that I know and be like "Oh! Tokyo Ghoul! I know that series!" But oh well.

Wierd thing I knew that, old habits I guess, If we were talking about Halo I'd type 'He' if we are talking pairings I'd write 'she'.

Now I see this interview and I can't help but think how ironic it was that this manga was published in SWJ, when according to Kishi that is pretty much just how manga is made there. If someone who was number two at the publication had no creative freedom, then we can be sure the other mangaka's who don't even do half as well have no freedom whatsoever.

Apparently the author of Dragon Ball had to revamp the design of Cell many times until SJ was satisfied with it.

The manga ended months ago, you expect the subject to get fewer posts everyday, people will move on, even those who don't can only continue to post their opinions so many times before they find themselves repeating themselves too much, and even contradicting themselves at times, If anything you should be surprised how after so many months the topic is still active and being discussed, most of th times the topic is dropped by now and people have moved on to the next thing.

 

 

I saw Sparda's question on her Tumblr page about if my opinion on the manga changed after reading the interview, and my mind went to Bakuman, or more accurately one of it's biggest arcs, it was about a new mangaka who had a rich father and what he did was hire a bunch of researchers who studied other manga's and had a team of people write the story for the manga and gained popularity due to the story being focused on what was popular with fans instead of the actual story and the traditional Mangaka's took it upon themselves that that system is flawed and that manga that comes from the creative mind of the mangaka and his team is what will ultimately win.

exactly ! NS didn't need a movie or a complete chapter to become canon... And even though SP absolutely wanted to make a movie about Naruto's love life, with Sakura, it would have been so much different and better (even though, I still think that a movie about THAT would be stupid...I'd rather watch one about team 7 and all the rookie 11 )

Yes, so much better compared to Naruto ! I admire Hiromu Arakawa, apparently when the manga ended, she was asked to continue it and add a few things but she refused, she knew how to say "no" (unlike Kishi) , she proved that, once again, you don't need to be a man to write an excellent Shonen....She did everything right. 

 

Wonder if her manga "silver spoon" is good ! 

I just wanted a Team 7 movie T_T Was that so hard?!

Even with NH canon, I would have watched a (good) team 7 movie !
