I was browsing on my old laptop and found a script for a video that I was wanting to make.
I wrote this before I decided to quit making videos. The topic was going to be about Sakura's relationship with Naruto vs Hinata's relationship with him. Since I know I won't be making this into a video, I thought I would post it here for fun instead. Enjoy!

It's not really about who liked him first, it's more so about who's been there for him the most and shows him support. Sakura prevails over Hinata in that aspect. Hinata may have liked Naruto from the start, but no matter how you look at it she still left him all alone when he needed a friend the most. She didn't even start talking with him until the Chuunin Exams - which is pathetic if you ask me. She had the power to save him from his loneliness early on, but chose not to. Instead, her choice was to watch him suffer and use that as a motivation for herself to do better (which she never did anyway, so that was a giant waste). She doesn't have an important role in his life and knows next to nothing about him. To put it simply, they don't have a close relationship.

No matter how much Hinata "silently supported" Naruto, it was Sakura who first showed him support in their age group. She acknowledged him right after being placed on Team Seven, even before Sasuke did. It all started in chapter three, which was her introduction chapter, after the real Sasuke calls her annoying. She sits on the bench and thinks "Annoying, huh? Did Naruto feel like this too? Maybe I should be nicer to him next time".

From that point on, Sakura starts opening up to Naruto and begins treating him like a person. She reached out and saved him from loneliness, along with Iruka, Konohamaru, Kakashi and Sasuke. They are his first friends which make them his most important people. When Gaara attacks Konoha in part one, Naruto has a flash back of the people he treasures. Guess who he saw? Iruka, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura. Hinata wasn't included. She's not as important to him as those four are. Ironically, it's Hinata's fault that Sakura is so precious to Naruto. If Hinata had overcome herself and talked to Naruto before Sakura did, she would probably be the one in Sakura's position. You snooze, you lose. Too bad, Hinata.

Sakura can understand and relate to everything he's been through because more than half the time she's been right beside him experiencing the same events. Hinata can't even begin to understand half of the pain Naruto has endured, simply because she's not around him enough.

The difference between Sakura and Hinata is that while Hinata will only keep her real feelings to herself, Sakura isn't afraid to shout hers to Naruto. She supports him as loudly as possible so he knows that she's always there for him. That's one of the reasons why Sakura is so important to Naruto, because he knows he's had her support from square one.

A good example of what I'm trying to say is in the Chuunin Exams, while Naruto is fighting Kiba. Out of everyone watching the fight, Sakura and Kakashi are the only ones who believe in Naruto from the very start. Everyone, including Hinata, shows signs of doubt in the beginning. Then, once Naruto starts winning, the only one who openly cheers for Naruto is Sakura. She was shouting, cheering and hollering at the top of her lungs, while Hinata was twiddling her fingers thinking "N-Naruto-kun…" She didn't actually say anything out loud.

You see the difference? Naruto knows he has Sakura's support because she shows it to him daily. Hinata has a hard time even talking to Naruto, and it’s for that reason that I can't see them being a couple. They're too distant.

It doesn't matter who had feelings for him first, the important thing to consider is who took action first - and that was Sakura. She's the girl whom has impacted his life the most, not Hinata.

Ok i have to disagree with this part, well just the first sentence actually. Sakura hasn't really told Naruto her true feelings at all. All we have had from Sakura at the moment was the "fake confession". Yes she supports naruto to the ends of the earth, sticking up for him even against sasuke and i have no doubt she loves naruto. However Hinata was the one to open up saying that she loves naruto back in the pain arc. She also has her moments with naruto in 615.

so imo i believe that first sentence sould be switched around. In fairness, hinata only confessed when Naruto was in mortal danger and he doesn't support naruto properly until 615+ so i guess this can be up for debate. Whats your opinion guys?
