I'm certain he already knows what's going on with the war and the reason he's been sent to the island. In fact, I'm sure the only reason he's staying there is that, for the time being, it benefits him.

No, Naruto don't know that the war is nearly starting. Yamato himself stated that it was good that Naruto agreed to come to come along to the island thinking it was just for some training, Wich means Naruto don't know that the real reason he was sent there is to be hidden from the Akatsuki.

It wouldn't surprise me though if Naruto does know what's going on, and is just going along with it, because it's easier than protesting and at least he can train while he's there.

Either way, it's all gonna come out soon, I think. Besides, it's not like that island is safe from intruders, Kisame is currently proving that.

I have too agree, altought I don't like to pick sides, I noticed is really hard to start a conversation with a NH fan about couples, they tend to get ignorant if you don't agree with them ( I'm not saying all of NH fans are like this, but the majority of them), it's like you saying a blasfemy if you dare to disagree with the "best and most obvious couple of the series". I don't understand were they get so much faith with a couple that have so little development and interaction.

But there's a barrier up on the island, if i'm not mistaken and Kisame is surrounded by two jinchuuriki's and 2 elite konoha ninja's. wink.gif

Yeah, most NaruHina fans may come from the idea of Sakura being mean to Naruto as a reason to hate her, in spite of the fact Sakura was just a stupid kid back then and assumed she knew about Naruto better when it was the other way around and she had no idea of how genuine the real Naruto can be, and how caring he is too. At least now, when she does come off as "mean", she does it mostly because of Naruto being stupid. XD

That can be kind of sad sometimes.

This is Kisame we're talkin' about though. This guy took on Killer Bee to a standstill through that puppet that Zetsu made, and since he can just get the jump on them since they're unsuspecting, barrier or not, he pretty much has an advantage right now.

Nope, Kushina is straightforward, she is so about gambling, drinking, and bewaring of Jiraiya's influence (that's the reference to perverted things), no when she makes the comment about weird, she uses the singular form, she meant as a girlfriend, don't go for a weird girl find one like me. Sorry, Soupy but Kishimoto is reminding readers of Naruto's description of Hinata- a "weird girl" on purpose.

Uh not really. Even if it wasn't about prostitutes, it wasn't about Hinata specifically, but rather just not to get with a girl who would be a bad influence. It is a typical mother warning, nothing more. Naruto wouldn't even consider Hinata dark and weird anymore, that was just his initial impression of her. I know the Hinata hate is generally strong in here, which is why I was saying it.

Well looking at the odds, I doubt he's going to try his luck, but the fact that he was able to successfully compromise the island's defences will send a message to the Alliance, that there is no true safe place to hide the jinchuuriki.

Actually, Kisame fought most of that fight by himself, it was only after he had rendered Bee unconcious in that water sphere that he and that Zetsu clone switched places, where he used the ink in the water to conceal the change.

I suppose it's just reader interpretation. I thought it was Hinata at first because of the same reasoning, but it still could be as what ciardha said, BUT it could also be as Soupy said the one thing both agree on is 'girl like your mother' is Sakura.

Ah, good to see a new piece by ladygt, she really has the style down- especially the anime adaption of Kishimoto's style. Funny narusaku/minakush. biggrin.gif

I agree, the references prior were pretty specific. as was the reference to a weird girl. Add in narutos personal description of Hinata which hes never contradicted even after saying he liked people like her.

the reference was pretty abundantly clear.

And LOL at that new fanart XD I liked Inner Sakura in the back ground there. One thing I like about NS as opposed to MK is that Naruto is more out going than his dad seems to be. Sakura and Naruto seem more closely compatible in personality than Minato and Kushina ever are.

Looking at that pic by LadyGT, has anyone ever noticed that Sakura and Kushina appear to share similar colour schemes with their clothing? In their casual clothing in the manga, both Sakura and Kushina have a dark piece of clothing over one which has a lighter tone, although in the anime the colour of Kushina's casualwear is reversed (her apron now being lighter in colour as opposed to dark in the manga).

Same face as well, strangely the same eye shape, the same smile. But it has to be Kishi's way of drawing female characters.

It's not so much that I hate Hinata as much as the fact the Kishi could've used different terminology if he wasn't making a reference towards her but he didn't. He used weird both times. Perhaps it's a translation issue but *shrug*...I'm not ignorant enough yet to believe that it's 100% certain he was referring to Hinata...maybe give me a few years for my delusions to really set in...
