Are you sure? You didn't forgot the unberable hot summers that makes your skin smoke just by geting out of your house, did you? Hell, I ratter have 10 feet snow then burn in the summer. YOU are the one that should be glad being there and not here!

I don't care if I burn to ashes, it's way better than having frost bite for walking for five minutes outside. Just this week it was -17 C˚, so yeah, you're lucky. I can't wait until I move back to Brazil.

In Brazil, depending on the state, the temperature would most likely be mid 20s to high 30s celciouse (60-85 F)

well... the article said 46 there... and here in Sydney, its starting to coll down a bit to 30-35 degrees but we did experience up to 40s a few days ago

Yikes, that is a pretty bad spot to be located. Smack-dab right in the middle of two weather extremes.

the funny thing is that despite it has happened since... well... forever, there actually has been very little attempt to prevent them. neither the flood or the draught that comes between the seasons. to be honest, I still finds it hard to believe that the governments doesn't even think about what should be done to prevent the destruction that happens EVERY YEAR in Queensland which leads the state to be in the front page of the news at least twice a year (Summer = Bush Fire and Draught, Autumn or Spring = Flood and cyclone).
