Well for anyone who remembers how things got outta hand with the 615 events, remember just take it easy, we have one thing canon, this can at least be a checkpoint for NS, if it somehow dies, well Kushina's parallel sinks with us.
Now among the bad stuff the Anti-NS fans did, well they just ranted and harassed us to no end, we still suffered 3 near sinking events, and after all this time, we get 2 small NS moments. The Sakura-Kushina moment was funny and cute, the determination of Sakura to fight alongside Naruto building on the 573 "We will do it together this time." Thats what hit the spot for me.
Now I'm aware of the remaining possibilities for NH and SS but just NS has a good foothold, basically akin to what Kushina said and how those things did come towards Naruto.
Well the hater stuff did get out of hand, we all had to chill for 3 weeks only to discover that it was a mere part of the plan for chakra transfer for the hand holding. Enough for a small laugh, but I don't think the bashing should go further, give the other fandoms time to cool off, its hard because well, this is their first direct blow. We were hit hard 3 times, yet its kinda hard to imagine NS just ending with so many loose ends unresolved. The kushina-sakura comment, that was the tip of the iceberg. Theres again, a lot more ammo in our camp to be used and resolved. Again, the rants and fury of the haters was funny at first, buts its died down now, its getting sad again when people are overracting in both camps, I was happy yesterday, I still am but not going to think this cements us permanently, we just have a better foundation for it and until Hinata and Sakura's feelings are clear, then I'll go saying if this is canon or not and if these ships are sunk or not. To me NH and SS are still in it, NH just took 2 massive blows from Minato and Naruto from 1 event but its not the end of the series, remember we know full well how they feel for now, just hope it does not turn again, SS has a small area but its still not highly developed and remains the same since Sasuke first left in part 1. And who has Sakura grown with in part 2? . She has time left to change, Sakura can turn to Naruto, maybe she will maybe she won't, I'm betting/hoping she does. Guess its time to take a short break for the memorial day weekend (well still enjoy the weekend wherever you are in the world, I need to do some soldier honoring for some of my friends in the U.S. military this weekend). Least we can say, we have nothing to fear for now and Sasuke most likely won't become love struck to Sakura, heck the only one I see changing in the love triangle is Sakura, I mean she became very close to Naruto over the series. Well enough of a small laugh, its best we leave all fans to their own accord, we all have our differences but we are still all Naruto fans.

Yes, I remember talking about the way those panels are split -- whether or not Sakura's reply to Lover-nin had one meaning or two.
IIRC, the discussion was about whether or not Sakura meant Naruto when she replied that there was someone to whom she was already committed. It was certainly possible -- and likely -- that's what she meant, since she showed no sign of disappointment or conflict when she offered that information.
But then the second part, when Lover-nin says, "He must be a really great guy if you're in love with him..." she thought of Sasuke. Because she was not 100% over him and embarrassed about it? Or just embarrassed in general to have loved a guy like that? Or both?
I've always been of the opinion that she was not 100% over Sasuke, because what was the point of showing her thinking of Sasuke if she was over him? If the guy she loved 100% was a great guy, she would have happily thought of Naruto.
As I've said a number of times, Sakura's confession to Naruto set an expectation -- in the mind of everyone there -- that was never retracted or otherwise dispelled. She made herself his girlfriend that day -- more or less, as Naruto says in #631. They just have to slug work out the details.

The Hitler reactions never gets old for me. The latest one seems the most red flag yet. I don't know if it's because of me and my fandom, but there's no loophole to this whole thing because not only it's the latest chapter that killed 615, but because you can't twist anything about it. The next plan is priceless.

The difference between 615 and 631? Well Minato attributed a similarity of Kushina to Sakura by their traits, the moment passed yes, but the trait continues forward, this is a fact by Minato himself. This is a key difference. Others can say the feelings of a moment move forward too, well yes but from 469, we never saw Naruto actually turning away from Sakura, yet we never saw him showing more towards hinata either. Naruto basically confirmed he still loves her this chapter (in most cases but if he shows more interest or says something similar to what I said remains in our ammo box, thats enough to seal the deal of who he loves), otherwise it would be NH happening without the Kushina parallel.

Maybe that is the biggest difference, Inferno. NH is basically only acknowledged by Hinata, but NS is acknowledge by outside people other than the people themselves which is usually how most of these end up being. "Everyone can see it, but them."
I guess you could argue Kiba, but he did ask such a direct question as Minato had.
Speaking of which, Kiba makes a comment about NH and Naruto ignores it. Minato makes a comment about NS and Naruto was the first to respond.

As for the cultural aspect, well, in Japan is a big deal with confessions made like that in public, so basically, Sakura is..you could say... hmm, committed to Naruto? That's why we have the more or less part confirmed. There are certain things unresolved between them, however, publicly, they're kinda together.

This will be a good opportunity to make Sakura stand up to Sasuke. I don't want her to just verbally defend Naruto when he's insulted. Well..she will of course stand up mostly for Naruto and his dream, but it doesn't matter because she'll put her life on the line too. Bravery. Nice. Selflessness.
I want her to be equal to Sasuke. Not in power, but I want her to believe that she can stand up to him as a person, and not just when Naruto is at risk.

With all my respect for you I can't agree on this one. The hug scene had a romantic subtext, judging from the facial expressions/blushes of the people here: Little girl on the left is like "how romantc...", and the blond guy on the right is like "ohh...my". Lol, I hope you get the point. 615 was just a comrade-friend supporting moment IMHO.

Kakashi being there makes even better... I can't tell for sure (blushing or just a sweat mark), but even he seems to notice the moment for what it is, mainly because that's not his shocked expression

Having read this chapter couple of times now I feel safe in saying that Im pretty assured that what Ive thought might be happening with Sasuke and Naruto is happening.
Namely that Sasuke is switching places with Naruto as the ""popuylar guy"" this is born out by Narutos memory of Itachis words. about Hokage, and Sasukes desire.
Im more firmly in the camp that they are changing places now with Sasuke being the one whose rejected and the one who has to regain the trust of his peers, and Naruto being the one who is accepted by everyone.
And of course I am happy with the simple confirmation of what weve known all along. NaruSaku is end game and weve been treated to their long and slow and wonderful road to each other.
