I wonder how many people have stopped watching manga in general due to the shock from NARUTO.
My ex-best friend told me he doesn't want to have anything to do with Japanese culture after the NARUTO ending. I guess for some people the shock are bigger than others.
It's a pity though because I'd say NARUTO would be ranked very bad in terms of quality of story in comparison to the others.
I still read some of my favourites like Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, and Dragonball. Actually, the latter remains a prominent source of discussion since new material is being released and old arguments or hypotheticals come up like "was Gohan SSJ or SSJ2 against Dabura" or "could fusion/Kaioken have allowed the humans/Piccolo to remain relevant past the Frieza saga". It's actually quite a bit of fun to discuss how characters would measure up under those circumstances. Better than trying to defend a decadent old farce like Naruto.
