It just seems likely unlikely that Sasuke is talking to a different character from Naruto. And even if he was a vagabond, who is he going to talk to? "Oh Karin, I'll protect you until Suigetsu returns?" It seems unlikely.

It was Sasuke's quote. Thought it was a quote from a character to Sasuke. If it's Sasuke's quote, then, yeah, it's very possible when he was saying this means that he's back to Konoha.

I think the better question is when that moment would happen. His design screams Piccolo alas wanderer. It's possible once they see the moon getting close, he will go back to Konoha to check the situation. In the manga, it strongly suggest that Itachi's way is what Sasuke could take in the end, but no bad deeds. But time will tell.

Not really. If could be that he's a wanderer and whatever the hell is going on drags him into the fight, and he has to fight with people from the village.

Sasuke, either way, will be dragged to the fight. He's not going to see the world about to end, and just keeps walking to get a good night sleep !

Not really. They purposely have this setup to let everyone know that Sasuke was going to do his plan that no one would like at all. So, once they see Bijuus released, tree deactivated, and well, alive Naruto, then you know Sasuke is good now. That said going back to Konoha or not is all up to them, not really mandatory factor.

Not exactly because he can save Sasuke from the dark side even if Sasuke leaves and travels the world. He doesn't have to bring Sasuke back, just show him that he's stupid and his current way is wrong.

Pretty much. Even in the last chapter, not current one, pretty much about changing his logic to a good side alas Naruto's way. Last VotE is about going back to Konoha, no matter what. So Konoha is now a choice for Sasuke to do.
