Toraja live in Sulawesi island. In the middle of Sulawesi.
That island is located near Philippines. So I think the custom could be more or less identical.
They have a unique tradition. When someone die, they will make a party.
The richer the dead, the bigger the party.

Sulawesi islands belong to Indonesia I guess. But yeah its geographic location gets it closer to Phillipines.

They keep the body in coffin for a week and then they put the coffin inside the hill/mountain or whatever. After this, the dolls are made and they believe that their ancestors come to visit them on occasions and when they do...the dolls act as a medium for their residence. They reside in those dolls when they visit their people. There have been reports of some 'weird' occurrences concerning the dolls. Nothing harmful though

I think people who are focused in their careers are most likely going to be married at the ages 30 and above. Or maybe most likely don't get married at all.

Speaking of ghosts, there is a circulating rumor in school. A couple of Mass Communication students were out filming for their short film as a part of their requirements in multimedia arts. At that time when they were editing the video in the media library, they saw a disembodied head peaking in the grass, staring at them. Needless to say they were scared out of their wits and headed home immediately without even bothering to removed the film.

It's because most of acquaintances who are focused in their work are like that. Margaux, my older cousin, married when she was 36. Nona is on her late twenties but is still not married. I don't have much ghost stories to share. I am sorry, Unburnt XD But I can share this piece.

There's this thing in my house. I dunno how or what or anything but...it is strange. It was after my 12th grade when all of my exams had been done and I was waiting for the admission process to start. Due to all those keep-up-studying-whole-night sessions....I naturally inclined towards sleeping late. I am a night owl. So...either I used to watch TV or download a movie and watch it uptil late night.

I quit the TV slowly and took to series or movies. This used to happen everytime. I used to be lying on my bed and watch movies on my phone. The door used to be visible from the corner of my eye. Every few minutes....I used to see a lady peeking at me. Sometimes...I used ti see her cross the doorway but when I used to turn to see what it was....absolutely nothing! Not even a trace of it. As if it vanished into thin air. This happens when I go home from my university. Very...very less frequently though. The frequency of witnessing that lady has been reduced considerably but I do see her at times. She has never entered my room or anyone's for that matter. She just crosses the door way or peeks into my room. I don't know if its my mind playing tricks with me or what but once, twice or even thrice is understood...but...everytime? Something is fishy....

And....I do want to get married

Lol most people don't have the time to find a bf/gf. The ones that marry early around 25 years old are the ones that have a more flexible work environment. Like a part time worker or factory worker or even the city office.

The best option to get out of this situation is to leave a great result in your current company and then transfer to a foreign company or country. If this happens more often companies might realize they need to change their work style to keep intelligent people in their office. Unfortunately a lot of companies don't give important leadership roles to young people so even if these young people want to get out of the situation, they have nowhere to go and by the time they realize they're too old to change jobs. My company fortunately gives a lot of responsible work to the young ones as well, but they give TOO MUCH that too much people are collapsing or getting sick.

I think it's still up to the person if they want to choose career over marriage. Don't worry. The people that I knew just prioritize their career since most of them work in large companies. Opportunities like this don't really come often.Personally, I can't even see me settling down during my 20's. I think most likely at mid-30's.

My mother is kinda fussy in marriage but my father doesn't really force me in marrying early. As long as he sees his first grandchild before he dies then it's fine with him. Anyway, I think, we prioritize financial security first then marriage.
The taxes we're paying in here is too high. (╥﹏╥) most likely 15-20% of the salary fpr single people.
