I've been gone for some time, but some of you still believe in the IT theory? Really? As much as I want it to be true, it's very unlikely to happen. Anyway, I haven't even read Naruto Gaiden. Can't bring myself to. I do roughly know what's happening though.
I don't really think there's anyone who actually believes that anymore -- though I could be wrong.
You're better off not having read Gaiden, I haven't either but I've heard plenty. It's a mess.

I thought he said his loves one. But sure why not.Didn't Obito say Itatchi had a lover? Maybe his novel will talk about her

Yeah, I plan to never do it. I was over tumblr and seems like the other shipping fandoms are having a war. Oh, well. It's none of our business now.

It's definitely not pretty. I just stay far, far away from it all. Doesn't have anything to do with me anymore and I don't want any part of the Naruto fandom outside of here. The remnants of the fandom can keep fighting it out for all I care, I've found much better stuff to devote my interest.

the IT is just simply hope. thats all it is. but even if it were to happen the damage has already been done the fandom has shown its true colors and no amount of pandering or "gotch'a!"'s will make it any better. both the fandom and the story. its easier to just say chapter 450 was more satisfying an ending as any.

Now that they add new novel suddenly out of nowhere, is it save to say that naruto series is in danger and no longer give the profit that they aiming? the gaiden not sell well, i bet the only thing about naruto that still do well is the game and the incoming naruto ultimate ninja storm full burst 4.

An out of control man needs a strong woman to control him.
And even a violent woman will become soft and tender to the man she love.

As if not enough Naruto novels hadn't been released already, three more novels are going to be added: https://www.animenew...e-novels/.89535
Who's going to buy the novels. Most of the Japanese general fans already left the series.

Naruto is a popular manga. While it will not reach 500 thousand to a million copy that the novel sell, there will be some people who want to read it.

Unfortunately, there are still too many suckers in the Naruto fandom that purchase the merchandise.....but it is evident that the franchise, as a whole, is declining.

It's weird how their still mining the popularity of the Akatsuki and Pain arc days, long after Kishimoto killed that off with confused mess of the war arc. None of the characters introduced in that arc are getting a novel. None of the characters introduced are even memorable, and the actions of the resurrected Akatsuki are hardly worth mentioning either.
So adding a Jiraiya, the gutsy ninja, and an Itachi novel (as well as the Akatsuki hiden already in the works), it just shows that Naruto peaked in the Pain arc. And though we were hoping for some big finale, Kishimoto couldn't get it together again. They're just moving on as if the whole war arc didn't even happen, and recycling the most popular old characters to make a little more money.
And yes, I'm curious if the novels actually did well, or if this was just a ploy always in the works to make it look like the novels did well in the lead up to the movie's release.
Well this is interesting :) Not the novel, but the approach they are taking in. A story based on already popular characters which had their closures in canon manga --three new novels some more. I thought they're planning to promote the new generation with the so called new era project? What happened to that plan?
My personal bet is that whatever plan they had initially didn't really worked out, therefore they resort to plan B to keep the fans interested in the series... or should I say, to bring back old fans who left the fandom.
The Hiden novels are part of the same package as The Last movie, it was announced when the movie came out. At least the team behind it are probably the same... As you see they are trying too hard to connect to NH somehow. I'm not sure what's the general public reaction, since there's barely any news about the sales --except that the Sakura Hiden made something like 44k in the first week? Which is quite low to my opinion, but I won't speculate further...
Here's a food for thought though... The retail price for these sort of novel will not be more than JPY 900, you can check it out in Amazon japan for instance (Jiraiya Gutsy Ninja novel costs JPY 800, with ~250 pages. Hiden series which has ~150 pages should cost cheaper).. The manga price itself should be retailing at around JPY 450 (here's the price for vol. 69)
Now do you know how much that bento box that they sell at the train station will cost you? (they call it ekiben, it's pretty common stuff in Japan) It costs at around JPY 1000 (price varies depending on the ingredients).
Conclusion? These novels and manga products are dirt cheap for Japanese. It costs you less than your lunch and typical meal. So, it's no brainer to cash out some amount to procure these items. It's not a luxury item to begin with. Of course not everybody is buying it --not everyone in Japan watch anime or read manga...
When the initial plan didn't roll out as expected, what would be the next resort to remedy the situation? The one that requires less time and investment (only pay the writer, editor and team, no need time and effort to draw), the one that costs less to produce (no need to spend effort for animation, license and distribution), and affordable for customers to buy (easily within reach of even a junior high school pocket money, hey, it's cost less than your lunch!)... You got it right! Throw as much novels as possible to milk the fans using existing characters and don't conclude everything anything in the canon manga.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe. But I'd given up believing in so much, until I met you. From the first day I saw you, you were everything I ever wanted to believe in. You can do this, Diana. I know you can...But I have to go."
"What? What are you saying?"
"It's okay, this is what I came here to do. I can save today, but you... you can save the world."

Why they just don't admit it and give up already, NH suck SS suck the ending suck, gaiden suck, new generation suck, novel suck, everything is suck. Its incredible too see them trying so hard to shove this bad ending into fans.
