NH (and presumably SS) fans need to realize that a whole lot of NS fans and non-shipping fans aren't just upset that their pairing didn't work out. It's not just about the pairing war! It's a crappy ending! It defies logic and previous plot points! It's a crappy last chapter that reads like a fan fiction that, to my knowledge, looks like it was just created to sucker people into seeing a MOVIE and reading a spin off.

Also, they made official pairings for FFVII? Can someone PM me a link or something so I can get caught up on FFVII canon

It makes me wonder if they're trying to manipulate people. The sad part is that since it comes from anime, it only make them looks like fool.

I am getting so sick of NH fans telling us we need to "Respect the author's decision" or a "real fan would love the ending."

That's like telling a Batman fan that they need to say that "Batman Forever and Batman and Robin are the best Batman movies of all time."

I'd always wondered whether or not Aerith really loved Cloud or was it because she just saw Zack in him. I'd don't really know, but I am not about to step on people's toes for this one.

This is why I loved Squall and Rinoa a little more. I love their relationship.

It was more like...Zackified/Puppet Cloud ( Who is the player in actuality) Could hold feelings for Aerith depending on their personal choice. After he's pieced together in the lifestream by Tifa, your choice goes away and he starts doing his own thing. It also helps that Aerith was dead I guess...but we also have to remember that Cloud and Tifa had a thing going on as kids. 

Its really one big mess, made messier by a deliberate, AMAZING red herring by SE in the story telling. You think you know Cloud, Cloud thinks he knows Cloud, but the only one who really knew Cloud was Tifa.

Cloud did act like Zack. Because he mixed both their memories into one. Thus creating Zacud.

Yeah, it's interesting how things work out if you ask me. X-D And listening to some of your podcasts has helped with your awesome input and such helps too, James.

 

And that's exactly how it was in FFVII; Cloud and Aerith were considered together early on in FFVII, but Tifa later on helps Cloud out of his dark place, even more so in Advent Children and such, so I like to see them as being together.
