Hopefully Harvin is ok because he potentially is the secret weapon they can use to make up for offense with his return abilities and of course in the passing game. And I can understand why the offense is a bit Vanilla, you've got Adrian Peterson, and there's no choice but to feed him the ball, because he is such a top player. But I think the Vikings are going to be the personification of "time heals all" this season. Better to start of slow now and pick things up later and hit your stride going towards the end of the year in the playoffs.

Hell of a potential comeback by Vick. Hope Kolb is ok.

Buccaneers 17 Browns 14
Dolphins 15 Bills 10
Patriots 38 Bengals 24
Jaguars 24 Broncos 17
Giants 31 Panthers 18
Bears 19 Lions 14
Steelers 15 Falcons 9
Titans 38 Raiders 13
Texans 34 Colts 24
Cardinals 17 Rams 13
Seahawks 31 49ers 6
Packers 27 Eagles 20
Well, I got to witness Da Bears win off a technicality, the cast of "Glee" butcher Empire state of mind, and the Eagles f things up like usual.
First off, It looks like Leonard Weaver and Jamaal Jackson look like they're done for the season, absolutely brutal. I hope Bradley's alright, otherwise the run defense will be swiss cheese like last year. Kolb got shook up, but he's the guy if he's healthy. That said, he looked terrible. He stares down his receivers too long, and makes bad decisions. He didn't look like a starting QB today, he looked lost and unprepared. He also got his first taste of brotherly love. The fans will turn on ya quick if you don't perform. I give Vick props for stepping up and getting the team back in the game, but I'm not gonna jump the gun and say he should start, yet. The last play was another gem from the mentally challenged mind of Andrew Walter Reid. QB draw from the gun against a stacking D-line. Herp. Derp. At least have him under center and try to get the line to push forward. But hey, thats fat Andy being Andy, I'm used to it. Thing can get really bad for this team in a hurry if they don't fix what's wrong soon, could be a loooong year. And if so, the front office should think about dumping the fat man.
Boys vs Skins, I guess I'll go for the lesser of two evils. Please troll Dallas #5.

On the whole I was surprised by how low the numbers were for a lot of the games in the first halves. I expected there to be a lot of lopsided victories today, but then again a lot of teams especially NFC are going through changes right now... it's like they're still playing in the preseason.
Vikes! What's going on! You had so many chances to win! I know it's been said, because Favre's out of sync with players for not going to training camp.
It took the Packers a really long time to get it going... but the Eagles have a pretty decent defense, they always have.
Texans... they've been a team for a while that should be play off contenders yearly, but haven't. I think they'll be playoff contenders this year.
Bears finally win ... in a struggling effort against a team that's probably just going to hit 500.
Steelers win! But I still cringe when they don't have Big Ben.
I know it's the Raiders, but is Chris Johnson going to have another big year? That cat is a runner!

And Peyton still threw for over 400 yards and kept it somewhat close.
Regarding Vick's 4th down QB Draw- I thought he could have bounced that outside and gotten the 1st. Ironic that for all the grief Reid takes for not running that's what they go to with the game on the line. Does Philly even have 3 TEs and a 2nd fullback?
And if me talking badly about my team is what it takes to have Seattle play like they did today, then I'll trash them all season long.
P.S. San Fran, you might wanna work on defending that 'forward pass' thing. I hear it's the latest rage!

Three goal INT's. Two back to back. That was some really ugly football. Bad news the Carolina offense was as bad as advertised in the preseason. Good news, we should have lost by a lot more than we did.

Ill get all of the Vick praise out of the way now. I thought Randall Cunningham was back. While everyone was making excuses for Kolb, one of them was the Packers are too good and a super bowl team. I still agree they can make the superbowl. But Vick came in with limited reps and put up a whooping against that defense, first with his legs but then he was actually making good throws from the pocket. Andy had always said though that he had scouted Vick, and thought he could help improve this throwing fundamentals and make him into a top QB. Not saying he is a top QB, but his passing has improved vastly. Because the packers were blitzing him but he was actually beating it for the most part.
That said, Vick's ceiling is only so high. Even at his best I don't think he can lead a team to the superbowl which is the ultimate goal. If he started from now on, we'd win way more games, maybe even make the playoffs but we just might be stuck again with a team just caught in between good and great. Kevin Kolb has more of the upside, or at least we hope so. They got rid of their bet QB in franchise history because they think Kolb is going to be the man in the future that wins a superbowl. But right now all we have is excuses and words that his supporters have clung too his entire stay in Philadelphia.
Because of the concussion, Kolb probably won't play next week and Vick will have a big chance to showcase himself against the Detroit Lions. I'm more than excited to see how he does with our weapons in a full start.
