4 years ago I would be fuming that this happened but I actually prefer Dawn and Ash as best friends.  I love Dawn x Paul. 
 
However, i don't think Amourshipping will happen even tho this is a HUGE moment for the series( and kinda one-sided). I bet the Poke Company is just testing out the reaction to such a thing happening is gearing up for future romance. So I think that those of you shipping this ship should hope that Serena will be exclusive in the romance department. Lilly could be the next on in line to have a crush on ash in Sun & Moon.
 
EDIT:  I hate Ash's reaction but I don't think it was on the mouth. His reaction is to normal. Friend kiss each other on the cheek. Not showing the kiss is just a ploy to keep fans interested in the series and leave us wondering what she did. If she does show up in Sun & Moon I bet they will finally show us the actual kiss. 

It's like his reactions mellowed down during the years, he had moments where he stared at Misty when she put on the kimono or when they were teased, even in the movie when he got kissed

Well the Sun and Moon anime starts tomorrow.. so it's time to see what happens..

All I know is it won't live up to what XY/XYZ did.

Even though  some a little bit Pokemon S and M is promising I won't watch it,but if the old ships are strong I will thinking about it XD.

same here. Even with ships I'm just way past the kittening on Ash BS that has been pevalent for the last 16 years. He never won a league and never will. He will lose ALL strong Pokemon he gets when it conveniences the plot. He will reset to newbie level and Pikachu will be weaker than a newly hatched starter. It's beyond boring for me at this point. The final straw with these idiotic writing Shenanigans is that Ash FINALLY  gets a water Starter that fully evolves and he lets it go.  And also Goodra. Ash gets a pseudo-legendary Pokemon and he lets it go too.

Judgement Day has arrived you guys,  The Sun and Moon Anime Episodes 1 & 2 have been unveiled to the world... No Subs, just raw, and how is it?

 

 

 

Well the good news is he still has retained some of his qualities from XY/XYZ, Ash's competency from XY and XYZ is still in tact when it comes to Pokemon Battles. His character while I will say he is kinda smart, they did make him a little bit goofy to fit the comedy aspect of it, but there's nothing wrong with that per say.  The only thing I'm still not a fan of is the animation for Ash, but hopefully that is something they can improve upon over time. 

 

As of the new characters,  

 

Mallow is a more upbeat character. 

 

Lillie is a character (for now) who is really shy when it comes to Pokemon, but I feel there is more to her character that I hope gets revealed later on. 

 

Lana is a cute sweet character, and she's a trial captain. 

 

Kiawe seems like a really bro kinda character, and he is a trial captain too. 

 

Sophocles is kinda like the chouji of the group. 

 

Professor Kukui is also a pretty cool character. 

 

Samson Oak is weird.. 

 

 

I'll discuss more about it in my review when the subs come out.
