Just wanted to have a post where we post some of the things we speculated and the manga has confirmed, if I’ve missed anything here, please be sure to let me know and I’ll add it in.
First, let’s start with what 700 definitively tells us:
Chapter 700 Confirmed
Ino x Sai, Chouji x Karui, Shikamaru x Temari pairings
Kakashi retired; Naruto 7th Hokage
Hinata has a daughter named Himawari and also has a son, who has not definitively been named
Naruto has a son named Bolt
Sasuke is not presently in the village
Kyuubi is sleeping (whether he’s been sleeping from 698 it is not known)
Won’t go into too much more detail unless it’s relevant, but that’s basically what I thought was important but don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed anything
Chapter 700 Unconfirmed, but a given
Sarada is Sasuke’s daughter (now, before you say anything, I am 100% that Sarada is Sasuke’s kid, but officially, I don’t think it’s been said, since I’m doing this with the other children wanted to do the same)
Rock Lee has a son (now, like Sarada, it hasn’t been clearly announced, but like Sarada, I’m 100% that is Rock Lee’s son)
Finally, let’s analyse some of the stuff that has been confirmed by fans but have inconsistencies that open up the possibility that these aren’t true:
Chapter 700 “Leading a Horse to Water” – Things unconfirmed in manga but 'confirmed' by fans
NaruHina
Details working for it:
The biggest one I think, both Bolt and Himawari have whisker marks
The Last Movie centered on Hinata
Details working against it:
Zero interaction/mention of Hinata from Naruto’s side and same with Hinata’s side (though Himawari mentions an older brother, no specifics are given)
Thus far, Naruto hasn’t showed any feelings towards Hinata
The Last Movie may be centered on Hinata, but no romantic NH moments given
SasuSaku
Details working for it:
SS poke (whether this was romantic or not, who knows?)
Sarada calling Sakura “mama”/”mum”
Details working against it:
Zero interaction/mention of Sasuke from both Sakura and Sasuke
Sarada resembles Karin
The next is some of our theories, I don’t know if I’ve included everything here, this is just off the top of my head:
Chapter 700 – “Dreams Feel Real While We’re in Them. It’s Only When We Wake Up That We Realise Something Was Actually Strange” – Possible Theories due to inconsistencies
Lee x Hina
Support for the theory:
Panel placement. All I can say is look at 700’s panel placement. Most of the scenes foreshadow the next panel. This happens more than a few times. Some examples are:
i) InoShikaChou practice for their children. Ino mentions it’s “a secret technique passed down from our ancestors” (which most likely is talking about Asuma). Next scene, Asuma’s family.
ii) Asuma mentions she will be going to meet Kakashi and Gai, next panel… Kakashi and Gai
iii) Kakashi reminisce about the past and Kakashi mentions stepping down from Hokage. Next panel… ex-Kages
iv) Bee mentions Naruto and the Eight Tails mentions how Naruto’s in a very busy position now, next scene Naruto (being busy) as 7th Hokage.
v) Sarada mentions her “papa”/”dad”, next scene, Sasuke.
Now how does this relate to Rock Lee and Hinata?
If you think back to Hinata and Himawari, after Himawari mentions how next time she’d like to come with “big brother” next panel, Rock Lee and his son! Think of it what you will.
Himawari has no Byakugan. Now, this is the tricky part, not much is known with genetics in the Naruto world but it’s presumed that the Byakugan is a strong trait. One such reason that Himawari might not have it is because, if Lee x Hina are actually together, maybe his inability to use ninjutsu and genjutsu was inherited by Himawari and it cancelled out Byakugan and maybe the eye colour inherited from Hinata, if in fact no Byakugan was inherited, would be blue eyes. At this point it’s still speculation.
Drawbacks:
The biggest drawback is the whisker marks. These don’t make sense in general, though, so it’s hard to tell how Himawari got her whisker marks and the other drawback is that Bolt also has whisker marks which implies, implies not confirms, that they are related.
NaruSaku
Support for the theory:
Naruto has been stated before that he likes Sakura, we have not seen so far a reversal on these feelings as of yet
Naruto made no mention of a daughter/Hinata. Odd considering he was giving Bolt a speech about family.
Sakura’s place is right next to the Hokage building.
Sarada looks like Karin, suggests she could’ve been adopted by Naruto and Sakura as a favour to Sasuke.
Naruto and Sakura’s parallel reaction about Bolt, Naruto said: “Did Bolt do something again?” and Sakura said: “Let me guess… Bolt again?” (plus look at Sakura’s expression when she says it.
Sarada’s comment that could be interpreted in two ways, hard to tell as her reaction as she says it is not shown but she says in reference to Bolt, “He and I do have some things in common… at least when it comes to papa…” This was crossing my mind a lot. Because (maybe it’s just the translation) if she was referring to them having different fathers, wouldn’t she say something like “He and I do have some things in common… at least when it comes to our fathers”. See what I mean?
Drawbacks:
Both Bolt and Himawari have whisper marks (see how this always comes into play?)
Uchiha whatever on the book shelf. Although it’s been mentioned that if that was related to SS, why hide it? Also it could be argued that Sasuke gave it to Naruto and Sakura to keep with them until they can give it to Sarada when she grows up and wants to learn of her heritage or something.
IT Theory
Now I don’t want to say much about this because I’m sure Chatte’s going to come up with something amazing on this front. All I will mention are two things that have been pointed out besides the OOC of characters.
One of them is the final page, with the IT eye being shown.
Another is the fact that the Kyuubi is shown sleeping. How does this mean anything? Remember when Kurama lent Naruto the last of his chakra to fight Sasuke, he said he would be going to sleep and couldn’t help Naruto? What was the significance of having that happen? What was the significance of showing the Kyuubi sleeping? Is he still sleeping from that time? If so, isn’t that a bit too long to be sleeping? It could indicate that a lot of time hasn’t actually passed and in extension, this reality, this epilogue, is IT.
That’s that, if I’ve missed anything, please let me know. The information gathered was a collaborated effort that everyone had a part in. Hopefully, we can work towards solving some inconsistencies!
... I'm speechless. Tbh, what you guys were all theorizing just looked like a jumbled mess to me in the beginning, but seeing all this written in an orderly way actually looks very nice.
This just makes me want to read Chatte's theory so badly right now.

I haven't started writing it, as I said yesterday. These past few days I have had a crazy schedule where I barely slept between work, personal life, decoding stuff and all that things. And last night I was in the ICU with my bf because he had a horrible teeth pain and I ended up falling asleep, again, at such crazy hours.
I hope I'll manage to start writing ASAP. Until then, at least, I am building the trail I should be going with.
And it's mainly gonna be like this: Databook 4 - Road to Ninja - Manga end - Manga components - The Last: Naruto the movie - Interviews & other info.

Just wondering: I know that once the movie's out, tons of summaries will be coming up on tumblr. But we don't actually get to see the movie until April or so. I'm afraid not seeing the movie will cause you miss some small, but important points/ hints that normal tumblr users would overlook...

@Konan-sama: I read your theory about the new generation. Just wanted to point out that the guy behind isn't Kakashi, but Minato. It's one of his poses, I know it but can't recall where I have seen it atm.
It's like the new generation from Minato - Naruto - Bolt...

And there's a drawback for Toneri x Hinata. Himawari has a brother. For her to have a brother, it's either Bolt or Lee's son. Either that, or Kishi hasn't shown who her brother is yet since Toneri's not really an official character in the manga. :) @applesauceful

What the heck is up with this red armband?! Both Naruto and Kakashi wear it in the movie. I'm glad if that pic is true, b/c it proves that Sakura is still a medic. Why wouldn't she?

Sexy Toneri is the answer:
He's a Kaguya decendent, hence he "has" to have byakugan, right? But he doesn't, he has blue eyes. Hinata definitely married someone who doesn't have a byakugan, and...since her byakugan is "weak"...well, you know the answer.
Toneri's hair makes him look like he has whiskers on his face I wonder if this on purpose to look like that or to hide the actual whiskers .
Also you guys are right Hamawari's Eyes are exactly like Toneri's Naruto's are different men this is complicated .

OHMYGOSH. YES. It looks like the hair is hiding the whiskers! ;__; Seriously.
Yes also his hair shape from the back it resembles a little with Himawari's hair , also does I look Toneri also has the apple thing with his hair it seems like part of it is sticking out ? But then again the most confusing thing for me is why does Bolt has the same thing makes no sense not from Hinata's design and certainly not Naruto this is mind boggling lol.
