I hope you're right and this is true.  It would help make me feel less squinky about the speed of Kaguya's dispatch.

Also who is the mask guy referring to?

Kishi is too predictable that he's unpredictable. Most of the time the mysterious guy is do obvious you start to have doubts if it really is who you think it is.
(Training Arc)
My sister: In the recent chapter it seems like it was the fourth Hokage who developed the rasengan. The fourth and Naruto seems to be connected a lot. Don't you think they might be father and son?

Me: HAHAHA NO WAY! That would be too obvious!
*Minato is revealed to be Naruto's father*

Me: WHAAAAAAAA-!?


My friend: I bet the Tobi guy is Obito.
Me: I think that's quite a stupid theory. As if Kishi would go such a cliche route.
*Tobi is revealed to be Obito*

Me: Well damn it!!

Me inner thoughts: I'm sure Sasori's spy is Kabuto.
*gets to the page where Kabuto is revealed to be the spy*

Me inner thoughts: I knew it! I'm a genius! So Kabuto IS Sasori's spy!

Anyways, all I want to say is, "suspect the obvious".

(My experience tells me the man behind the mask is Yamato)

I'm not sure if the opponent is still Kaguya though :/

Another villain potential I see is Hamura. We have heard of his great significance regards to the battle with Kaguya. It will be odd if all those mentions on Hamura was for nothing. He was also paralleled to Sasuke several times in this arc. He could have been the opposition to the sage of the six paths. And may rise again. I honestly have no idea.

@ramenanmitsu -- I agree. I didn't mean I expect to see Kaguya again, but that if the war arc proved to not be over, or if the fate of the shinobi world was not all roses, then I would feel better about what Kishimoto has done recently. If that makes sense.

Also, I still want to know why we kept seeing those buildings in the background of the other dimensions.

I guess it depends on how much longer the story will go on.

That was revealed to be Yamato just before Infinite Tsukuyomi started.

I believe it was already revealed in the IT chapter that Yamato was in fact the guy underneath SZ

Well we have 13 chapters left of part 2 until the movie starts.

 

Do you guys think Kishi will use it to set-up Part 3 or wrap up the Naruto/Sasuke confrontation, lead the shinobi world and wrap up the series before the movie?

Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.

Probably cause they hate Sakura. When she's probably the most developed female character in the whole show.

I respect Hinata, but Sakura deserves some too.
