As for Naruto and Hinata, I would assume that Bolt's thoughts of Hinata and his claims that his dad is never around means that they're not exactly a close family. He can't use the whole 'I'm the Hokage, I don't have time' excuse, seeing as how the other Kage have been shown to have at least decent familial relationships.
This isn't lazy writing. It takes effort to kitten things up like this. It's like Kishi himself doesn't like the direction he went. It's like he's doing this out of spite for his own characters.
I personally like the fact that out of all the hokage, Naruto is the master of shadow clones and instead of having a multitude of them doing his clerical work so he can spend time with his family, he sends a clone to argue with Burrito while the real one heads off into the woods with Sarada.
It might be tough to decide who the "Father of the Year Award" should go to; Naruto or Sasuke.
I'll be the happiest person in this forum if I'm wrong and Kishi really is trying to sabotage ss, but with his track record I'm going to have to see it to believe. Heck, I may still not believe it even if I do see it. I'll just be waiting for some retcon in another movie or another gaiden.
Everyone that I know who reads Naruto equally hate this kitten. I don't know anyone in real life who actually agrees with the ending.
Anyway, I think this chapter pretty much hinted at the fact that Sasuke and Sakura arranged a marriage to keep Sarada safe. That's the only answer I got. Cause it's quite obvious that there's no intimacy between the both of them. Either they stole Sarada from Karin, or Karin gave her up. And then Sasuke and Sakura agreed to raise her and fake a marriage to make her believe she was being raised in a healthy home. But lies can only go so far, and right about this time Sasuke leaves to find the threat "greater threat than Kaguya". This explains the missing birth certificate, the 12 years of absence, Sakura not knowing enough about Sasuke, and the fake family photo.
This is the only logical theory I can give you.
Logic and Naruto don't exist on the same plane of reality.
