I love how Kishi is giving all the key NS moments to other pairings. It's like he's screaming out: "FORGET ALL THAT NS DEVELOPMENT, PLEASE!"

Honestly, he's more try hard than the all players in CoD.

You are really gonna compare Bonds--a filler movie with 'the Last' which is considered to be canon.. ? They are nowhere near the same magnitude of importance and even the level of trolling would be thousand times worse here. 

ehh except i wouldnt blame it on them. It's called marketing, not lying. They show things that happen but just not in the actual context of the movie. This happens all the time in trailers for other movies as well, like classic American ones. The main reason why anyone would feel trolled if they got lead on by others, like people who post those spoilers. I mean even kishi said to read the ending along with the movie so it's not like he didn't give hints if it turns out like this.

I'm wondering this myself.

From what I've understood, Kishimoto has always expressed a bit of nigh irritation with the pairing wars surrounding his manga and the way people tend to act about it. Perhaps this is his kitten for tat? It would be pretty petty though. :/

But after 15 years of keeping quiet about weekly manga releases i don't see why the same people couldn't keep quiet about a movie. That doesn't seem strange.

The biggest obsticle the theory has to overcome is, once again, Kishimoto himself. This community has written amazing things and drawn amazing parallels and Kishimoto HAS failed us utterly in the past. :( Part of me honestly thinks he nay have just taken the easy, cash grab route and went NH/SS. :(

It bothers me cause I get nausous thinking about how OOC the characters are. I don't see how Kishimoto could allow his work to be treated that way...

After all, Kishi was irritated when he said "You always say Hinata, Hinata I say she's NOT Hinata" in Sakura's defense. So what if he's trolling the fanbases and all those who didn't see where he wanted to go with this and thus gives them something but rips it apart at the end of things ergo NaruSaku canon?

I wouldn't put it past him, after all, the guy is pretty attached to Sakura, he even has a damn key chain... And when Naruto celebrated 10 years, a Shojo Mangaka drew NaruSaku as a gift... I mean, it's THAT OBVIOUS!

In terms of advertising/marketing, sure. They're both movies, forget filler or canon. People are going to watch it regardless. Was RTN canon like this movie?

Watch the movie and tell me how it was Naruto and Sasuke fighting side by side, saving the world as the main characters of the movie. It didn't really turn out so well. It's not really that bad when you think about it. 700 was ambiguous for a reason. 699 was OOC for a reason. There's 698 chapters behind everything, how would it be considered a troll? A troll would be to recton all those chapters in favor of Hinata. That's Hinata's dream come true actually, lol.

 

What about those who don't know about the movie though? I know it's unlikely, but it's possible. LOL. Won't they misinterpret everything..?

Yes, I also don't understand why Kishi pushed the self-destruct button. But if indeed this is one big troll, I would feel sorry for NH/SS fans and I would not be very impressed myself. They are people too, they are fans of the series just like us. To play with their feelings this way would be pathetic.
