I don't know. I'm the sort of person who generally remains by only a few artists/writers. I suppose Makoto Raiku, author of Zatch Bell, would do a much better job than Kishi. His manga contains very little fan service and generally focuses more on the bonds and strength of his characters, especially Sherry who has a powerful motivation to fight, was relevant in every major arc since the Ancient Mamodo arc (she and Brago even upstaged Kiyo and Zatch on several occasions), and remained in the contest until the fight battle with Kiyo and Zatch themselves.

Same here, I was among the people who said "He knows what he's doing, he's done this before, look at all the previous events/arcs etc.". Sigh I should have seen it coming, but I was too invested in this series to even take into consideration that he was kitten up this badly. And really? Lol, it's honestly so clear. It's so clear and simple. How anyone could even twist the romance-sub plot in this story is beyond me. The love plot isn't even the biggest problem (but it sure was a main factor in this kitten ending), look at what happened to everybody. Kishi sold out for sure, but the manga hasn't been going so well after the pain arc (imo). I mean after the pain arc, Naruto was probably a 6.8/10 - 7/10. Story was alright, could be improved a lot, but it was still decent. So many ways Kishi could have went after the pain arc, but nope! 

 

And yeah, it's pretty good! I just started it. I'm on chapter 6 xD. The amaterasu rip-off is so obvious LOL. "The black flames that don't burn out. The black flames influenced by your spirit" pfftt

Did the ending seem really underwhelming to you? Did it feel mediocre? I've only read the first 6 chapters but I already feel a "What the hell was that, that's it?" feeling x_x

 

I'll tell you this when you get to the timeskip it is amazing where things go in the direction that Seishi takes the characters cause... nah don't wanna spoil you where it goes all I'm gonna say is you're gonna love it, and it makes you wish Naruto did something like this.

Lol it's okay I actually read the last chapter before I started reading it and intially I was confused, not really pissed just confused. Then I started to read from the beginning to see how it gets to the ending. Once i officially got the ending, it felt creative to me. Since you alreadyread the last chapter I can say the way I intrepreted it was that the series finale has an Open Ending. It's one those endings where fans could speculate where things could go from there.

Plus according to one of our members, Seishi came out with an interview a long time ago and wanted to build a more solid conclusion to the series, but the publishing company didn't give him enough time to do so. that's what I've heard and if that's the case then I've got respect for Seishi because he's honest about his work.

So what do you think of Jio and Ruby not in terms of their relationship, but more so as individual characters? If you're on chapeter 6 then means most likely you've already passed Jin's introduction and Zero's introduction as well.

As I can see, even Seishi, unlike Kishi, was clever enough to finish his 76 chapters manga with a 51 pages one !

I know right that's one of the first things I went to check after the ending of Naruto came out and just said Kishi you could've done 2 50 page chapters cause things would've felt somewhat wrapped up but ultimately again character assassination. So you've read the series too then ichigo nice   What were you thoughts in the series?

I haven't read it ...yet ! But, I just spoiled myself the ending (not by reading the chapter ! )

I think that killing off Jio and Ruby was a good idea (if they're all really dead)...it's SAD  (especially since they apparently are the NS of 666Satan ! ) but it's something we rarely see in mangas...And I can say for sure that I would have preferred Naruto to die too, instead of what happened to him after chapter 698... 

I just wonder why Seishi isn't as famous as Kishi...

I thought it was an bold move on Seishi's part and honestly I believe that it really paid off in the end. I'm not entirely sure if Jio and Ruby are dead, but the best I can give Seishi credit for is leaving the ending up to the readers kinda let them intrepret the out come of the series. Yeah they are most defintely the NS of the series but they've also got their differences notable ones at that.

 

I always wondered why that was the case too it always bothered me, and oddly enough I started reading 666 Satan during the 3 week break after chapters 615 came out cause I was slightly falling out of Naruto during that point in time.

I also wanna confess I kept reading Naruto because I believed it could get better, guys. When the ending occurred... I realized how foolish it was for me to have hope. But what I opted to do was to keep the TRUE Naruto in my heart, since the ending has irreparably damaged it beyond comparison. So everything before the series became a HUGE clusterf*ck will be what I am remembering. I also am trying to write my AU, Naruto: The Demon Within, but I feel like I have lost my way doing so. I want to make it a story that symbolizes the TRUE Naruto, the one Kishimoto-sensei forgot when he effectively sold out to Studio Pierrot and let them judge how things should go. I want to make TDW a series worth reading; one that will be fun, reminding us of the way Naruto Uzumaki touched us with his attitude, even with the fact he had been lonely, and showing the bonds he and his companions have without having to piss on them or to rip them apart.

I'll admit, I overestimated the box office sale in USA. I actually caculated to $700,000 if we go by those numbers of screenings. Basically, the one that were additional to the already screening state was not such a good idea. I mean NYC, sure, but Los Angeles, no, should have focus more on San Fransisco.

So checking on the anime site I noticed the Aniplex is haveing a "booth" at Anime Japan called "Sakura" about cherry blossoms. Their theme this year.  They even have a Naruto sample... which doesn't includse Sakura, but instead has Naruto winking well Sasuke looks at him as the both hold twigs with cherry blossoms on them.
