I find it amusing that the other fandoms claimed NS to be dead at 469 and yet Kishi keeps giving NS hints. However they are fans who said that in the end Kishi will somehow make NH and SS. So it doesn't matter if Kishi has been developing NS more than 300 chapters it doesn't matter how many NS hints and clues he has given, in the end it will be NH and SS.

Anybody know why this will happen???

Those are the diehard fans. They will stick to their pairings no matter what even when Kishimoto said the "Word of God" trope that NS will be canon (when it happens). For example (when it going to happen), Naruto and Sakura tied the knot and have a baby (which basically screamed at the audience that they ARE canon), they are going to ignore it and try to find silly reasons (baby is adopted, not physically theirs, its Hinata's/Sasuke's child, etc.) to make them not the canon couple. Plus, they stick to fandom theories and beliefs. And I believe they will bash Kishi, saying he's a bad writer because he didn't make NH and/or SS possible. (Which he isn't. )

Oh I'm completely certain Kishi's been trying to illustrate to his readers the extremely close and utterly canon relationship that Naruto and Hinata have had since the beginning. 8 panels of interaction out of 40k+ is enough to suggest any pairing is canon !

Honestly thinking about what Kushina said, I'm not sure how much of a NaruSaku booster it is. Those other rules? Naruto hasn't really been all that steadfast in following them. So the NaruHina folks could easily spin it that way. EDIT: In fact they're already doing it. And lots of 'oh well Naruto can't live with a person just like his mother, they'd kill each other!'. Oh and 'eww oedipus complex homg!'

I think Naruto followed most of the rules actually.
-he isn't a fussy eater (he pretty much can stand the worst of foods)
-he eats a lot
-from what I can tell he bathes
-he sleeps well (to the point where Sakura has to wake him up)
-he made friends, even those he can trust (tho his best friend turned out to be someone he couldn't trust, unfortunately)
-he studied his ninjutsu, but wasn't that fast at learning it (like his mom)
-he avoided the 3 vices of shinobi (he saves his money, he told jiraiya he can't drink till he's 20, and he doesn't visit prostitutes)
-found a girl like his mother

The only thing he didn't do was listen to his academy teachers XDDD

But really, when Kushina warned him of 'weird' girls, it wasn't a reference to Hinata...it was a reference to prostitutes most likely, since she was talking about the 3 shinobi vices and warning him against Jiraiya. However, a girl like his mom could only be Sakura.

I can't remember exactly were I saw it at but I recall seeing it somewhere in the NF Konoha Telegrams in someone's sig.

Come to think of it...i think there is a reason Kishi created Kushina as a Sakura parallel. I think he wants to see the fans reaction to her, whether is good or bad, and based on their reaction he might decide whether making NaruSaku cannon or not.


He did say in an interview, at the start of the Shippuden series, that the main couple will become more and more relevant as the story progresses. Some people think is SasuSaku, but considering that whenever Sakura thinks of Sasuke, Naruto is there to cheer her up means he wants for Sakura to see past her boyfriend troubles.

But the clincher about all of Kushina's advice is that it's stuff she told Naruto as a baby--it's not necessarily current, (though I'm sure she still wishes for him to behave decently); it's not exactly a list she's telling him to adhere to now. The reason we saw the "Mommy says" speech was because it was meant to reinforce the fact that Kushina had "filled him with love" as they put it.

The fact that Kishimoto bothered to give a panel of that speech to the topic of women--and then leave us some hinting tidbits--is just that: hinting, but overall probably nothing concrete.

As for Naruto ending up with someone like his mother:

--they wouldn't kill each other as the NH fans seem to say; from all that we've seen lately, we know that Kushina can be dominating but also extremely sweet and loving; if he did end up with a girl like that (GEE MAYBE SAKURA?) I imagine they'd have a decent relationship
--just because he may end up with a girl like his mother (again, there are hints but nothing definite) doesn't mean he'll end up with a clone of her. It seems that in these statements they have Sakura in mind, but even if she is similar to Kushina, Naruto liked her before he even knew who his mom was so the idea that he chose her to be with someone like his mum is squashed.

Well technically, those aren't boyfriend troubles since they never dated and Sasuke wasn't interested in relationships.


I think that Kishimoto will make narusaku canon weather the fandom likes Kushina or not.
